He was an FSU commit. Taggart just pulled his offer. He will be an early enrollee. USF and UCF in mix for him now.

"...UCF’s new defensive coordinator Randy Shannon was one of those coaches Kirby talked to and Kirby has already scheduled official visits to both UCF and USF.

 

“[Coach Shannon] told me they were interested in me and that UCF is here for me,” Kirby said “I think it’s a great program.”

He still plans to sign on the early National Signing Day, Dec. 20 and will now have to scramble to figure out what school fits him best.

UCF could be a good fit given that the Knights have seen their 2018 commitment list shrink over the past week. UCF had 18 players committed to the class when Scott Frost resigned as head coach Dec. 2, but the Knights have lost five pledges since naming former Missouri offensive coordinator Josh Heupel the new head coach a week ago.

Kirby also talked to USF assistant head coach/defensive coordinator Brian Jean-Mary and the decision could come down to those two schools, although the others do remain in play."

FYI, USF offered him in  2016.

Since he didn't commit to Willie when he was coaching USF, perhaps Willie just returned the favor to him at FSU. It might be as simple as that.

He took his official visit to USF yesterday. He will also take an OV to UCF tomorrow.
