2018 Class Early Signing Period

So, now that Frost has become HC of Nebraska, it will be interesting to see what happens to the UCF commits.

Their BEST commit, Eriq Gilyard, is really pissed off:

Frost basically said he agreed to take the Nebraska job on the Friday night before the Temple game after meeting with the AD.

Well, I've changed my opinion.

There is one unconfirmed report that Strong spoke (or visited) with FSU yesterday, but FSU hired Taggart.

So, that report might be taken as being true by some of our commits.

Considering all the recent coaching turnovers across the nation, I think many more players who are now committed to various schools will delay signing early and see how things play out. 

At this point, I really can't make an intelligent guess on how many will sign early with USF.

The one thing I can say is that we will sign many less than I originally thought. Whatever that number is we will at least know what we have already in the bank and can focus then on what is still needed to complete this class.

Good article.

It looks like four of our top six rated commits will sign early.

If that is the case, we will have locked in some very good players.

As a result, we may see more highly rated recruits take notice of that and jump on the band wagon.
