We're loaded at QB! If Leavitt can figure a way to stagger his corp of QBs the way UM did during its heyday we could be another QB university. All UM's great QBs started for no more than two years. They either red shirted or sat a year or both. I suspect he may have told that to Hill and Grothe. We're looking to at least five years of great QBs right now. FreaKnight Posted June 30, 2005 Group: Member Topic Count: 9 Content Count: 162 Reputation: 0 Days Won: 0 Joined: 05/09/2004 Share Posted June 30, 2005 I'm sure he'll get the chance to compete for the QB position, but my cash goes on him ending up as a safety...Seems rather slow to be a safety, and does have any experience at the DB position?Seems to me like it's QB or bust for this kid.  Competition is a good thing.  If B.S. comes on board, the player who would have the most beef is Grothe.  If Grothe gets beat out at QB, and doesn't want to play another position, he could be a transfer candidate.  But it wouldn't be an issue because of the others in place. Gregory could be useful in that type of situation as a possible 2nd/3rd string QB.

More often than not, qb's transfer because they aren't given a shot at qb and don't want to play another position. If that's the case, why is he coming to USF where I assume there is even more competition? Whatever the reason, welcome aboard Grant.

Sound tackler and has some pop on his tackles as well.†
