What position will he play? Surely he's not part of the qb plans here ..........

It would be nice if we had some good transfers come in that played a position other than QB.

Too bad we can't trade like the pros. We're loaded at QB!

If Leavitt can figure a way to stagger his corp of QBs the way UM did during its heyday we could be another QB university.

All UM's great QBs started for no more than two years. They either red shirted or sat a year or both.

I suspect he may have told that to Hill and Grothe.

We're looking to at least five years of great QBs right now.

I'm sure he'll get the chance to compete for the QB position, but my cash goes on him ending up as a safety...

He'll have plenty of time to learn how to coach sitting on the bench.

You guys do realize that recruits and players read these boards, right?  Way to make a new Bull feel welcome!

Seems rather slow to be a safety, and does have any experience at the DB position?

Seems to me like it's QB or bust for this kid.  Competition is a good thing.  If B.S. comes on board, the player who would have the most beef is Grothe.  If Grothe gets beat out at QB, and doesn't want to play another position, he could be a transfer candidate.  But it wouldn't be an issue because of the others in place.  Gregory could be useful in that type of situation as a possible 2nd/3rd string QB.

Why is he transferring?  More often than not, qb's transfer because they aren't given a shot at qb and don't want to play another position.  If that's the case, why is he coming to USF where I assume there is even more competition?  Whatever the reason, welcome aboard Grant.

I think he is more than capable of playing saftey

this was a quote from the Usfnation website:

On the defensive side of the ball Gregory was a force at safety, recording 70 tackles his senior year and intercepting 11 passes combined in his junior and senior year.

“He’s a Ball-Hawking safety that fills the alleys well in support of the run. Sound tackler and has some pop on his tackles as well.â€Â

Does this mean we are out of the Brent Shaeffer transfer race?

why is he transferring?

check the last name and compare to our recent coaching hires

will he play QB?

as a full time starter....doubtful, but sounds like a solid backup and everyone has to have a good backup nowadays

move position?

if that 4.71 time is true, i sure hope he doesnt end up at safety.  think it was embarrassing to get burnt by the Pitt TE last year, chalk one of those up a game if he is that slow
