Seems like a great question for Tom Veit.  Maybe somebody could ask him that on Thursday...

it's not copyright infrindgement because they aren't using it for profit or selling it. For entetainment purposes only.

USF will have a much more like "college" atmosphere at games this year instead of mostly NFL type loud music.

Most of the recorded music will be gone in 2006 as USF will focus on their band and traditional college type sounds/music/activities for its home games.

Great move if you ask me.

And this information comes from where? I hope you're right but I haven't seen anything indicating that ............. Still need to keep AC/DC, though, no matter what.  ;)

It's coming...trust me.

Hopefully it will also mean less of Paul Porter (but that might be wishful thinking).

I think USF fans will be very pleased with many of the changes on "Game Day" over the next 2 years.

FYI - I asked on a Big East board about artificial noisemakers, and there doesn't seem to be a rule against them (although there wasn't alot of love for thundersticks...).  If this isn't a Big East restriction or a Raymond James restriction, then we definitely should pursue it...

That would be way cool!

here is the ray j list of prohibited items:

   *    Umbrellas

   * Food, drinks, cans, bottles, glass

   * Back packs or large bags

   * Coolers

   * Video cameras

   * Strollers

   * Seat cushions

   * Weapons/fireworks

   * Banners or flags with sticks or poles

   * Lasers

   * Items that could be missiles or projectiles

   * Cameras with lens longer than 12"

   * Horns of any type

   * Footballs

   * Chuckie Dolls

Why seat cushions?

Most of the recorded music will be gone in 2006 as USF will focus on their band and traditional college type sounds/music/activities for its home games.

Only if they can play something in addition to Queen!

Hopefully it will also mean less of Paul Porter (but that might be wishful thinking).

I don't understand some people's problem with him?  Most people I know think he does a good job.

Paul Porter just tries too hard and has no originality.  I personally would rather have an announcer issue facts over the P.A. and not try to be a cheerleader.  Example: First Down, Bulls!  That's fine when we get a first down but when the offense is coming on the field?  That's retarded.  And people clap like we accomplished something.  Maybe that would be an opportunity to have the Band play a trademark tune to pep up the team...I don't know...that's not my job.

Glad to hear there will be less attempts to mimic the NFL...this is college football.  That's the atmosphere I want!
