You can coach tackling you can't coach his size and athleticism combo.  Also, he'll be in a relatively deep position group so the coaches will have a couple years to mold his game.

Can't remember if he had a star rating on 24/7 prior to him committing, but as of now he has a 2* rating. Seems low to me based on his athleticism, but they must be penalizing him due to his poor tackling form.

He still is rated two stars by 247.

However, they have been writing some very nice things about him. I expect he will soon get another star. There is a highlight video of him at the link below:

Sickles (Tampa, FL) ATH Jontrey Hunter has been exceptional on both sides of the ball during his senior year. The USF commit has quickness and playmaking ability that jumps off the screen at you. He could be a difference maker for the Bulls on either side of the ball.

Thanks goodness we got rid of one of our few 2*  commits. He looked slow and unathletic..

I just noticed that he took an official visit to Iowa State on December 8. I presume that his mom accompanied him and apparently was very impressed, yet he did not sign with them during the early period.

Perhaps, he is still looking around.

Either way, it opens up another scholarship.
