KC Keeler at Sam Houston State

and

Jamey Chadwell at Charleston Southern

If we hire a FCS Coach we should fire Harlan immediately.

Chip Kelly was an FCS coach, and wasn't even a Head Coach at New Hampshire when Oregon hired him. That wasn't a bad hire. Having said that, I'd still prefer somebody who's been around at the FBS level.

Chip Kelly was originally hired in 2007 as the OC, not head coach. Big Difference. He was promoted in 2009.

Thank you!!!!! JT at tOSU is the only coach I can remember going directly from D-1AA to a Major program. We aren't a major program, but shouldn't settle either. JT had a string of titles going. Now if we could get Craig Bohl from Wyoming...I would be ok with that, downside is he even admits knowing the plains region recruiting is big part of his success.

Hopefully CS will come.  I think he'll be expensive but he will stablize recruiting immediately.  I think it will cost over $2M a year to get him. 

However looking outside of the box should never NOT be an option.  One of those guys (Keeler) has big time FCS playoff experience and recruits the JUCOs very very well.  Remove Q from the USF squad and Sam Houston State would take USF to the wire in a straight up game.  The other guy is young and turned a perrenial whipping dog into a consistent FCS playoff contender. And better these guys than Schiano.

Both of them will keep USF bowl eligible for the terms of thier first 3 yr contract.  By the way the cupboards are not that full at USF especially on the D.  After Q and Mack are history bowl eligibility will be a struggle unless USF gets some 3-4 star football recruits that play like 3-4 star football players.
