Search for New UCF Soccer Coach to Begin Immediately

Golden Knights looking for new leadership as they move into Conference USA.

 

 

In 12 seasons with UCF, Bob Winch compiled a record of 112-100-15.

 

March 31, 2005

ORLANDO - UCF will commence a national search immediately to find a replacement for men's soccer coach Bob Winch, whose contract will not be renewed when it expires in July.

"We're grateful for the many years of service Bob has given to UCF," UCF director of athletics Steve Orsini said. "He has worked hard to build the program to its current point, but we believe it's time for a change in leadership to continue the growth of the program as it moves into Conference USA. We're confident we will have a pool of quality applicants for the position that can develop UCF's student-athletes on and off the field."

Winch was named head coach of the Golden Knights in 1993 and compiled a career record of 112-100-15 in 12 seasons, including an 11-7-2 mark in 2004. During Winch's tenure, UCF made three NCAA Tournament appearances and advanced to the second round in 2004.

UCF is leaving the Atlantic Sun Conference this summer and will begin competing in Conference USA in the fall.

He's trying to say that Keifer will be shown the door.  Bullscoming123 are you a former player?  I've heard from a player that coach keifer is a *****.  However, the man can recruit.

I figured that, it was just the wrong board to put it on.

As for the football, My memories of watching the USF games was fairly dull (compared to what I am used to here!) although me and my mate found it hilarious when the guy on the PA system announced everything ie "Goal kick USF!, and also the fact that the scoreboard recorded the number of corners won.

That sign is about Manchester United Football Club in England.  The Gla$ers are trying to purchase the team.  The fans don't want him to and I couldnt blame them being a bucs fan.

How can you be a Bucs fan and not like the man who brought the Lombardi trophy to Tampa Bay?? Of course, I think Manchester has already won a few titles so it's a little different situation ......  ;)
