Why is there such concern about our passing D?  Based on one play last week?  I only recall one blitz early in the game. We held Towson to 16-41 and really only 2 of those passes were more than a couple of yards downfield.

We played more of a basic run defense against them for 2 reasons. 1. Their strength was their RB and 2. We didn't need to push anything more than a basic defense.

We have arguably the deepest, most athletic, best back 7 in the league. I also think our DL will be better than last year once all is said and done.

I am really not concerned about our Pass defense.

The one pass play was a coverage lapse. If the guy doesn't make a mental mistake and stays in position it doesn't happen.

We shalt see though.

Because they need to find something to find lacking. Our O just looked like they needed to shake out some cobwebs. The D, well I dunno. I didn't have as good a feel--it might be cobwebs but it felt like the line might struggle against better competition, and the secondary seemed to lose assignments every once in a few plays. We'll see how it shakes out tonight.

Spread had gone from -14 USF to -15 USF in the last 24 hours. Go Bulls.

“This is not a broken football program by any means. It just needs to be united, to get everybody on the same page, share that same vision, and really to have that standard - best is the standard.”

"There is no inherent fear among this group of players. The fear of failing drove the program from day one - the fear of failing the coaches, the fan base, the university, each teammate, themselves. Now, as we head into the biggest game in our history at home on a national stage against the highest ranked team to step on OUR field, the players are taking an introspective look at themselves. Unfortunately, I don't know if they get it. They lack the fear."
