Scott coached the tight ends at Miami last season before being promoted to interim head coach after the release of Al Golden. If he leaves before March 1, 2017 he will owe Tennessee 33% of the remaining comp on his contract, if he leaves between March 1 and the end of the 2017 season he will owe $50k, and if he leaves after that, he will owe nothing. If he’s terminated without cause he will be owed the remaining pay on his contract.
