  1. This is exactly what I was telling someone the other day. We were not THAT bad.. it was a bad atmosphere due to the 30k Miami fans in the stands and we had zero answer to their passing game. Other than that we played pretty well. I saw a lot of passion from the guys and I saw a couple solid drives by the offense. We are not too far away from being a solid team. It WILL happen this season, unlike a lot of opinions out there. Maybe Miami's backup secondary isn't that great but our passing game took off towards the end when Bench let loose. I want to see us utilizing our receivers more often. Our OL is getting better, slightly, but better. So it should happen soon.
  2. Actually I can't get out of my Saturday shift so I will not be making it. Last time I missed a game due to work was UCONN last year. That one went well (depending on your view) so I am optimistic. Joking aside, I saw a solid offense on the first drive AND the last drive. Considering where we are, also that we were playing MIAMI.. We did well. The AAC is no Miami so we may have a chance at a few wins. I just wish we could throw the ball more... The last drive gave me hope for our future. It WILL get better.
  3. The good... The FAU ladies were Nice looking. Sitting in the family section behind FAU has its perks. The bad... Our team looks horrendous.. The ugly... The constant turnovers to a terrible team. I keep thinking about how bad it will be once we face Miami, which embarrassed FLORIDA.
  4. Give him a couple weeks as the qb in practice and game prep and we could see better results by Miami. However, our OL must step up. There definitely WAS a different energy when he came in. It was exciting. It was productive. My guess is that taggart told Evald "it's yours to lose..here's your last chance." He blew it and Taggs moved on. Good call. It's time to move on with Bench.
  5. This. I wish people would just chill out and stop trying to fire somebody after every game.
  6. My realist view: As much as I hate to say this... This season is looking more and more like a preseason to next year. We might have to settle for letting the team get the kinks out now and get better for tomorrow. We have always said that USF is in rebuilding since Leavitt left. Well folks, we are officially in rebuilding. The 9-3 plush season we experienced back in 2010 when Holtz took over was nice but it was no rebuilding. We have been lucky to not experience a low this low until now. This is a humbling season and we can't expect anything from this team. I know that I will be there every game this year and watch the transformation. I am seeing bits and pieces of good things... this team just needs to put them all together sometime. Now my idealist view: We haven't played a single conference game yet... We can still win it and make a BCS bowl before we lose our chance completely next year!
  7. It seems like night and day with Bench. He still needs some work. He has a bye week to get right.
  8. Someone said we don't have a gold jersey. Didn't we have one at one point? Possible when we first transitioned to UA? I could've sworn we wore a gold jersey and it looked like ****. Just a bad dream?
  9. Taggart will surely play Bench more vs. FAU but Evald will be the starter and play most of the game. Taggart is preparing him to take over, no doubt. I'm hoping that he is worth the switch as we have only seen a little action.
  10. I hate you. I came home from work and this is the first thread I see. Not a good feeling. My heart sunk into my stomach like when the wife says "we have to talk."
  11. I am pretty stoked about seeing my bulls play another big game this weekend! Any game could go either way.. We learned that last weekend (and many other times in our history). That makes me even more excited about Saturday. Anything is possible. When my students fail their first test of the semester, I do not kick them out of the class or fail them for the entire year. I review "the film" with them. We make a game plan to bounce back. I have faith that my team can do that too. Go Bulls! Beat Michigan State!
  12. It is a strange coincidence that it was our last great win... I thought that UCONN game last year was pretty great. We got our first interception of the year. That was pretty huge.
  13. Ha! I hope they never wear them again this season. Stick with the classics. Green and Gold.
  14. Hmmmm... Immediately after we lose two WR to transfers. Interesting.
  15. **Knock on wood.** If the CSH era taught me anything, it's to not bank on the filler wins. Hope you are right though.
  16. Please give the NFL more credit than that. If I'm a gm/coach, I'm looking for production. Not has been with a name.
  17. "Draft stock" relies heavily on what the teams see player produce on the field. If his playing is slashed significantly (which it will be) then he is in trouble.
  18. We don't have a designated blogger on AAC yet (that I have noticed). Meaning that we will only catch articles that from other conferences that "also mention/tag" AAC teams. Good luck seeing anything on there NOT about Teddy Bridgewater.. graduate already!
  19. What a waste of an opportunity. I can see his reasoning on some level.. you want to be apart of a championship caliber team to ensure you get noticed. However, Dyer would be a stand-out and ensure a better draft stock at USF. This just proves that his decision making skills haven't improved. We are better off without him.
  20. We all do dopey things. I remember this guy in the form recently naming himself after one of the older active members, IncrediBull, adding an s87 on the end, Oh, wait, nevermind. :roflmao: :roflmao:
