  1. Kyle, right? Bowl games should take that spin. Like this one, the players should play beach football. I'd pay to watch the Idaho potato bowl played with a large potato.
  2. I could swear the whole game is on youtube. If not the big highlights are *for sure*
  3. That article was made back in October. I'm not debating his ability, but there's still nearly all of this school year left of football to play when the article was published. I'm just passing along what I've read in other sites. He just hasn't been entirely the same since his injury. Though the speculation would be that you take him in case he can be coached up and maybe brought back to the state he was pre-injury. Give him a year to red shirt and heal up to 100% and hit the weight room. Otherwise, sounds like he is sort of riding the wave of such a dominant sophomore year.
  4. Here's something to look at there: HLT Yds/Opp. The stat basically translates to what the running back can do when you take away the abilities of the Offensive Line/what contribution they have to the running game. In WKU's case, their feature RB has a 5.0 highlight yards/opportunity (basically when its all him he has the ability to create 5 YPC), however on his runs the offensive line is what creates his yardage 55.3% of the time. In our case, Mack basically creates 6.7 YPC on his own, with our line carrying the load 44.6% of the time. Flowers 5.9 (also at 44.6%). http://www.footballstudyhall.com/2015/2/9/8001137/college-football-advanced-stats-glossary?&_ga=1.6848498.1755295659.1449714304#pgh/24/5526 Use ^ to decode the special stuff.
  5. Josh from 247 advised he hasn't been producing as much after his injury and weight increase (went to DT from DE). Though, as he mentioned, a good DT is hard to come by at times, so you take the guy based on potential and see where it leads. edit: After posting 22 sacks his Sophomore year, he missed a bunch of his Junior year, and just hasn't produced the same since.
  6. He ran into some trouble back in 2014 that raised some eyebrows, maybe caused some programs to back up a little... http://www.al.com/sports/index.ssf/2014/07/5-star_wide_receiver_recruit_d.html Also, a member of 247sports said something along that he didn't perform as well as one would hope at The Opening. So that might have had an effect as well.
  7. HOPE YOU GUYS PICKED THE OVER AND FOR US TO COVER. LETS GO.
  8. Then they'd be better off picking up Les Miles, Butch Davis, Mario Cristobal, Randy Shannon, and Kirby Smart to fill in HC and all other roles on the coaching staff... Eh. I don't think many schools would come knocking for Taggart just yet. We certainly look improved now, but I feel like they'd wait until after next season. If we go like 10-2+ regular season, especially if we upset FSU, I'd fully expect offers to come pouring in for the man. Rightfully so, he'd deserve them.
  9. Well, yes. Which is why I said I figured the "extra" game would still count. then I talked about PPG, because if at all else, looking at averages would provide us with a better look since the total number of games would be different between the two seasons. I mean, one could probably look at any given team with a record book and CCG appearances and look at how they "count" their point totals to get an idea of how they do it. If anything, the 2007 team had 430 points through their 12 regular season games. This team has amassed 402. If we include the extra games, 2007 got to 451, this year has reached a to be determined number. I feel like "totals" shouldn't penalize a team for earning the extra game to boost those stats. Hell, when we talk about records for yards for a season, they include CCG's and bowl games. Why wouldn't point totals?
  10. The 451 point tally for the 2007 season includes the bowl game. I would imagine that (since bowl games are technically "extra") a CCG would also be added to the figures. The team averaged 34.692 PPG in 2007.. We're sitting at 33.5 PPG right now. Would be nice to top that number, but overall we've essentially doubled up on the "17 point curse" we had.
  11. Class of 2013... My first year of USF (and really paying attention to USF Football) was 2010, AKA Skip's first year. Which was good, but I was certainly not as invested in the program as I am now. So, this year is the biggest year I've ever really had. Quite honestly, I feel more euphoric about it than when the Packers won the Super Bowl. So that's pretty nice. ---- But on topic, The things to consider at this point is whether or not Taggart can continue to improve the team. From there, which assistants we lose or keep. It would be understandable for us to lose a handful of them. We'd all love to keep Allen, but maybe we only have him for this year. What will matter there, is for Taggart/Harlan to go out there and find a new DC that can step in right away with the pieces we've got. Maybe another 4-2-5 type of guy. Its clear we have athletes that can perform, probably in whatever resemblance of defense we put out there. Same with the offense really, but I'm not as worried with them. I feel like you could tell Flowers, Mack, the other RBs, and Adams to just go ball out and we'll be fine.
  12. Admittedly, before my time. I don't recognize the names. FYI, you can also see whatever group this is supposed to be, as he directly copied those links as well. Whether its closed or not, I don't know.
  13. Besides, he left their names in his copy/paste. So if you wanted to know who he's talking about, its all there for you. just highlight their "names" and look at the FB links.
  14. Y'all forget we almost beat them on their field in 2013, when we were hot garbage and they had Bortles under center. We don't turn the ball over that often, but if the Bulls come out today and don't take the Knights seriously, if we make mistakes and let them stick around, it can spell trouble. They better get out there and punch them in the mouth from the opening kick off.
  15. Adams beat them multiple times with catches and shifty runs. He had big first down runs (and then some) in the fourth quarter to help put things away. So he deserves as much credit as Mack and Flowers do.
  16. That was county on that side of the field. So, Deputies being asses.
  17. Should we go 7-5 or even 8-4 this season (not thinking of the bowl game right now, not ours until we get the sixth win), will be very interesting to see how the offseason goes. I mean really, Flowers has shown this is his team. Or at the very least, he deserves way more than just to be bumped off by Woulard. Experience and grit should certainly count for something, right? Woulard is very athletic, I'm sure they can find a way to use him even if its not under center.
  18. It can't be just FBS wins. Per Wikipedia, we have 120 total wins (After today), and 27 of those were 1-AA. So today would be win 93..
  19. Did you see Winter Park play in 2013? Was referring to Rosen, not Woulard. Besides, best team in Orlando is the Apopka Blue Darters
  20. Dunderbaks is around the corner now, off BBD. They'll have to blowup University Oakwoods and all of the nastier parts just south of Fowler for this to really stick as a nice place.
