  1. Just curious on who everyone pulls for...especially on a particular game across the pond on Sat. I'm not really one to pull for the Orlando school or some of the others, but with our school being looked at as a lower class, I'm pulling for all the AAC and the underdogs.
  2. It seems there is a lot more going on...events on campus, events with students, new initiatives and getting the athletes out in the community. If we can start winning, the money and business support will come.
  3. The worst case is my ESPN3 doesn't open and I can't get the game to watch us win!!
  4. Running game has me nervous as does getting enough pressure on the QB, still a little young and inexperienced at CB if we can get in their face it will help the secondary I think we're solid at LB and our recievers WR/TE's
  5. I forget, who gets to pick the uni's? Is it the captains, seniors or does the team vote?
  6. Giddins can still land on a practice squad, especially now that they have expanded the roster size. I think that's where he needs to go anyways to get bigger. On the Broncos front, Kayvon is still listed as 2nd string and Murphy made the first round of cuts. And we will be looking for a kicker since ours decided to go have a couple beers, so maybe MB can come kick some extra points for us for a bit
  7. but I'd love to see it go your way! A guy can dream can't he?...I'm guessing a 24-10 win
  8. My thoughts are that had we not fallen so far the last 3 years, we wouldn't be worrying about this. I have some family that are in the know with some higher ups in OU and said had we not **** the bed in football, hoops and baseball, there was legitimate interest by multiple conferences (my guess was ACC and Big 12) to bring us in. They always ask me if we like those new athletic facilities (hinting that was a must to even be considered)... But now that this is our reality we need to right the ship and start winning again. If this story has some legitimacy to it, I'm all for it.
  9. Here are my expectation for game 1...get up by 3-4 TD's early and let Bench play the second half with some of the other guys to get some experience.
  10. Are you watching the game in Tampa? I'm from Colorado and went to CU back in the day. Littleton HS grad. No, I'll be out west for this one. I was born out here, but grew up in Palm Harbor and did all my schooling there. Was able to come back out here 8 years ago and can say other than college football, I'm not missing FL. And as for beer selections out here...I have 5 solid brewpubs within 15 min of my place, but Tommy Knockers, Rockyards and Estes Parks are great. Great American Beer Festival is right around the corner!
  11. So we know the starting QB, we have #TheTeam in spirit and now can start to game plan for game day! Putting my menu together for next Sat and was curious what everyone else is doing? So far I've got some smoked Carolina ribs and black eyed peas (was always told they brought good luck). Anybody have some better suggestions? Of coarse my nice choice of CO beers will be flowing too, pacing myself will be the biggest challenge.
  12. My guess this was a publicity stunt the entire time...CWT said the names could go back on at any time and even the pic of Cleese with the #20 jersey; he looked like he was heat pressing it on. I said this was gimmick and I think it was to rally the kids and fans, I just don't think they thought the whole process through with the NCAA and the fan base. The best part is he made McMurph and other media break this story as BREAKING NEWS, when it was a stunt... That's my positive spin...man 8/30 needs to hurry up
  13. I agree here, just leave it blank...don't use a gimmick. This could be just a publicity stunt for the first game, but I hope we go back to normal names
  14. Anything better than last year is an improvement and I think we'll have that. You only have to win by 1 point, so let's all be careful about setting some bar about points and yards per game. We have more beef up front now for White and holes for the young backs. I think we have more talent and experience in the WR's and TE's. Limit the TO's and control the clock and we have a good chance. And I don't really care about our avg points per game; we have some decent teams coming in our house the first 4 games (besides WC) if we can play our usual solid D and beat these other guys call me happy!
  15. Jerome Murphy had a couple of nice tackles on the goal line to preserve the shut out in SF today...long shot to make the squad with the DB depth Denver has, but was good to seem him make some plays
  16. Was the right pick from everything I've read...good to have Bench as the back up too. Should be a lot different than last year...less than two weeks to go.
  17. If he legitimately gives us a better chance to win, I'm all for special plays. I just don't want him to burn a RS to go out there and be a decoy or run a couple gimmick plays. We need to build consistency and process, that's how O-lines are set up to protect and WR's know where to be. Plus if White is going to be the guy for now, let's hope he can run the O this year and really allow Flowers to develop and learn the system. Will help in the long run a lot better than needing a change like we did last year.
  18. Hopefully an IPF can be built soon and that will be the site going forward!
  19. I'm ready!! I get excited each season and look forward to every game. And hoping to get to the Ray Jay again this year!!
  20. I'll be looking forward to all the updates from everybody. And I'll begin my countdown to the season by wearing at least one piece of my Bulls gear everyday until the opener, people in the Denver area will be seeing a lot of USF gear. I'm getting pumped again!
  21. I think this is a great idea, Ray Jay is a nice venue, but we need to get others on campus. Plus nice call on merging it with the other sports, they are Bulls too and should get some love!
  22. With the past two years, I can see why some aren't feeling the excitement. But I also think that we can start to look at it as we hit rock bottom and now we can stop looking at the past and pull for these kids and what the future can be...we just need to be realistic with our expectations. Camp is coming and we are less than 6 weeks from our first game. I just want to see some improvement and points. I'm getting pumped!!
