  1. Typical Pitt and their students, They screwed us when they were in the Big East with their behind the scenes deals and leading the charge to refuse the ESPN money, only to bolt to the ACC with ESPN's blessing I have no love for Pitt or their players.
  2. http://www.lehighvalleylive.com/sports/index.ssf/2016/10/ex-phillipsburg_football_star.html#incart_river_home Cpl of things stand out in this case : 1st why would the American Athletic Conference be listed in the lawsuit, Pitt nor the player ever played in our Conference. Pitt is a member of the Atlantic Coast Confrence(ACC). They were members of the Big East prior to joining the ACC. ( so the BIG EAST SHOULD BE SUED). Secondly the article doesn't say what Pitt did or didn't do that put winning over the players health. Did he report the symptoms, was he denied treatment? Why didn't he seek treatment outside (private Doc instead)? Too many questions in this article that need to be answered.
  3. The outside temp according to my car (which was parked under a tree at the stadium) read 103 degrees when we left the game. It was Brutal today. I can only imagine the real feel on the field when you Throw in the humidity and the extra degrees down at the field level.
  4. Anyone else have any issues today trying to get a cup of ice during the game to stay hydrated? USF sent out the email this am about game day. It was super hot and humid today. I took my mother to the game, tried to get her and a gentleman sitting next to me some ice so that they Could do just as recommended and stay hydrated. I spent 20 minutes going from concession stand to concession stand to ask for some ice and ALL said they were told not to give out the cups of ice. I showed them the email and they responded others had as well but they were instructed not to give it out. So wondering where the break down in communication was. Here was a portion of the email Free cups of ice will be provided to all fans at the concession stands during Saturday's game courtesy of Aramark. Water fountains are also available throughout the stadium on each level. Fans are encouraged to properly hydrate for Saturday's game.
  5. USF (in a close one). 35-33 (Bulls have larger lead in the 4qt but FSU scores late to make it close than the Defense has to makes one more stop in the end to seal the win). Mack (is back and ready to attack) Adams (makes them wish he signed with them) has monster game) 420 ( why change my number this game) Fans storm the field
  6. Respect is a two way street. I must say FSU fans have always been nice to us ( been to all the games between us). The only places Ive had or seen rude fans towards us was UCF and Rutgers , other than that everywhere Ive been they have been great ( that includes Temple in Philly as well). Best fans I've encountered were at Notre Dame, Navy, Wisconsin) in that order, all the others were nice but not to the level of the 3 I mentioned. Go Bulls
  7. Flight went without a hitch (Allentown PA to St Pete Thursday evening): Check. Couldn't sleep last night: Check. Ready for a Bulls WIN: Check. Time to head to the stadium : Check Go Bulls
  8. One would think we have an upper hand based on the past. When the Big East /Big 12 was falling apart, there was a lot of talk about those of us left merging as a back up plan. http://www.espn.com/college-football/story/_/id/6993604/big-east-big-12-talking-possible-merger-sources-say So one would think we should have some connections and they need to be reminded of the past.
  9. Similar here, Fly in Thursday and out Sunday am. So Noon is Fine with me.
  10. This is just my guess and nothing more. I suspect that they are divided on who to add other than BYU possibly. (thinking they want to ADD only 2 this time but may be forced to go to 4 to satisfy all the Presidents voting. Based on all we are reading the Texas schools are pushing for Houston while the rest are pushing for Cincy . What I think has them stumped is if they are forced to go with 4 they still cant decide on the 4 schools. USF UCF make sense for all the reasons we know, in addition to the fact they don't want another WVU situation with a team on an island. So basically I believe its really down to 5-6 schools. BYU, Houston, Cincy, USF/UCF, UConn. Wont be surprised if its 2 or 4 of those I mention only, The rest can forget about it. Will be interesting to see how they play it out. Regardless of the outcome, I hope USF has its ducks in a row and ready to pursue BIG aspirations if this falls thru. Big 10 Like the Big 12 Would be smart to tap into Fla, Tons of Big 12 transplants here and a chance to level the playing field with the SEC.
  11. USF 56-27 (Close game until mid to end of 3rd quarter than we pull away.) Tice ( Has a monster day, may even win AAC offensive player of the week honors as result of the day). Valdes-Scantling -(6 catches ) 420 (why not) and It should be legal .
  12. Agree, But if it did we have some Wins against Current Big 12 TEAMS we could brag about and remind them of as well. We beat highly ranked WVA and Ranked Kansas the year We rose to #2 in the nation I believe. I also believe we were ranked higher than Any of the current teams still in consideration in the Modern Era.
  13. Did you happen to catch it last season I believe when it was at Temple? (pro stadium as well)
  14. Hoping for a large crowd, esp with the students showing up in full force. The weather will still play a role on attendance even though the storm should be out before the weekend. I for example, Im scheduled to fly down tomorrow evening. So far my flight says its "On time" however some airlines have already issued travel advisories for flight Into and out of Tampa for the next 3-4 days, with many cancellations expected. Hoping my fight continues tomorrow, with the return on Sunday am.( we have a cabin rented in the Mountains starting Sunday night for a few days). So now in the wait and see mode.
  15. We need the Students to show up in Full force ALL season, not just the FSU game.(They are crucial for the success of USF football). They are the future donors, they are the energy as well (players and the rest of the crowd feeds off of them, esp when they fill up the student section). Don't want to hear the excuses this season from the fraternities that they had a scheduling conflict. The Football season has been out for MONTHS. NO EXCUSES!!!! We need the Students to show up.
  16. I don't know why Anyone would NOT Expect and Demand excellence from a University of Higher Learning? Esp one that wants to run with the Big Boys. If you want to be part of the club You need to act like part of that club. By not Demanding/ expecting excellence is nothing more than settling.
  17. 1) The winning team : USF BULLS 2) The final score : 44- 16 3) Bulls leading rusher: Mack attack 4) Bulls leading receiver : Adams 5) Bulls total offensive yards (closest without going over) 435
  18. Wonder how he will spin the Ryan Lochte story since he is a Gator. (my Guess he will joke it off and blame the green water or call him a kid being a kid) (even though Lochte is over 30 years old). Personally if this Self entitled brat ( Lochte) did what is being reported and the video surfacing shows, He along with the others should be punished. Send them to Brazil to face the charges. He should also be stripped of his medals and made to publicly apologize to Brazil and the US for acting like fools. Someone who has twitter should ask Fennelly about the Lochet situation and get his take.
  19. I think its rather ironic that some USF fans are so upset with others(Media) for exposing the apparent systemic long term problem that MANY on here have complained about themselves ( currently in another thread about lack of emails indicating season ticket shipments). I for one have always thought USF needed to do a much better job with communication , emails , proof reading publications for print ect... I may have even said in the past USF seems to be run like a JV High School athletic Dept due to my frustrations with lack of emails and notifications. I Get wanting to defend the school we care about, but can we really be upset with the media when WE know this is an ongoing issue ourselves? Not looking to pick a fight, just saying before we throw stones we should be careful , esp when we live in a Glass house.
  20. This is just my opinion based on the Internet rumors. BYU is the clear favorite if they can get over the Sunday issue. Texas and Oklahoma are in disagreement over the 2nd school. Texas wants Houston, Okl wants Cincy. So if they only take 2 schools I suspect it will be Houston and Cincy , but could be any combination of the three.(Byu, Cincy, Houston) If they go 4 schools, (which makes the most sense) I see a Florida School getting in. Hoping for Both. However would be stupid but not surprising if they take BYU, Houston, Cincy and one Fla school. We should hope they remain in a state of confusion until the end of the season so we can Pack the Ray Jay, have a killer season, winning the AAC East and possibly conference. New Years Bowl or playoff would seal the deal.
  21. Torn as to the approach. One would assume that USF(Judy, Mark, and any others who have pull) have been in contact with the BIG 12 to make our wishes known. Until there is an announcement one way or the other we can do nothing but support the program and trust that they are doing all they can to get us to a better spot. Now if we get passed by and its found that we (those in power) didn't do something that could had gotten us in, than we as donors and supporters need to make our voices heard. (whether that is thru donations or lack of donations and ticket sales). I have a different view than most on here since Im not a grad of USF. Im just a fan of College sports, was hooked at the first game 20 years ago against Kentucky Wes. I have and continue to donate( small amount) buy FB and Mens BB season tickets( used to buy Womens BB and had Softball for a season). If USF gets left behind it will be hard for me to continue to justify buying the tickets, flights to Tampa, road and bowl games ect... to watch what is left of the AAC or worse.
  22. Not "IF" but when we beat them this year. Go Bulls!

  24. help me out here for a minute If someone will. Are we comparing apples to apples here? Based on the article Posted above it says we have performed very well, Near the top ( catching UF and FSU) , yet this article posted below says UCF received the highest ranking and money based on their performance measures. So my questions are : is this the same measurement ? If not than why is UCF receiving more money than USF. Who are we to believe http://today.ucf.edu/no-1-ranking-nets-ucf-16-2-million-in-new-performance-funds/ Can we get the real scoop.
  25. This cant be true. After all we were told by the Memphis poster that Memphis and Fed ex were a done deal waiting to be announced any minute( that was weeks ago). Did he ever show his face again after the deadline? Did he ever pay off his bet?
