    I agree with smazza. If we're going to stuck in the crappy NBE, without any real hope of playing for a NC, then a yearly UCF game becomes our NC. It may even keep some of the local talent home recruiting-wise if we could make this a huge rivalry game taht folks in the area want to see.

    Skippy is going to get at least one more year. I can only hope that Cosh doesn't get the same deal.

    There is nothing I've seen in the two years he's been here that gives me any confidence in his ability to make USF a national player. His game planning is suspect. His recruiting, while OK, hasn't been impressive. His ability to identify solid coordinators has very clearly been unimpressive. Not sure what folks are supposed to hang their hat on with this guy other than his nice guy, "do it the right way" image. At what point does actually winning something come into play.

    What's sad is that it will be difficult to get up for games for the next few years until he's gone. Agreed, he seems like a great guy; blah, blah, blah, but at this point in his tenure we should see some forward progress - not regression. So we fire a coordinator or two at the end of the season, and plow forward through continued 6-6 seasons (if we're lucky), until this Holtz experiment is over. The only light I see at the end of this tunnel is coming from the train barreling down on the wreck of the holtz regime.
