  1. Those sissies destroyed USF football by ousting Leavitt. That ******* shmuck walkon triggered this program's slide to irrelevance. he was a coke fiend derelict, barely a braincell to be had. never was his character considered before "legally" attaching the alleged violations to our main man Leavitt, PhD. any sort of substance, soul, clout this program possessed went out the door with Leavitt, PhD and colonel LRS.
  2. how could you realistically predict anything over 3-9 (wins over 1AA, Memphis, and.. 1 shocker)? who is consensus 4th probable, Tulsa?
  3. busch league. USF has a highly selective graphic design program.. brutally apparent none of that talent was tapped.
  4. Have to imagine something so blatantly off-base is sarcasm, amirite? Anyway, couldn't even fathom such a pimp stadium worked into USF's campus.. could never relate in the slightest to anyone that tries to defend "benefits" of Ray Jay as superior to a brand new OCS.. grasping at straws.. LOSE fans over "less comfortable" seating at a brand new OCS.. probably enough to negate sore ass-cheeks pretty quickly, ya kno?.. how dense of a ******* nerd do you have to be to believe in tripe like that.. total disregard for big-picture implications of landing an OCS, e.g., benefits to athletics (perceived and real), university, and Temple Terrace. capacity concerns? if we could sell-out entire seasons at 40k on-campus, this program would be soaring at an all-time high. couple of crowds at tail-end of '13 could have been condensed into "the AAC's largest student section".. get real and remember we're small time football. stadium will be a reality once a cut of USF football's "golden era" fans (enrollment including any yrs 07-11) arrive at executive positions and start stacking money bags. regarding donation potential, one could argue we are the most important fans to have ever matriculated. any and all perception of USF football as a legitimate program is based off this 5-year chunk of on-field performance. trying to stay grounded here. a stadium of this caliber, or even 10-25 mill below price tag, would be a dream.. after all, sands are flowing in the"forever relegated to insignificant directional school" hourglass. where's smazza to drop some radical-realist wisdom?
  5. I'm going to start a petition to change the tempo of final "Go Bulls!" in fight song. It's always bothered me how queer it sounds drawn out to "Goooooooooo-Bulls!". It would have more presence if exclaimed succinctly in 'one beat' as apposed to 'three beats'. Try it, and you'll see, i.e., "South-Florida-South-Florida, Go Bulls!." Even chanted with equal timing, as in "South-Florida-South-Florida-Go-Bulls." would be an improvement. Thoughts?
  6. USF commencement is a Busch League joke.. Formula goes: Pack into sterile Sundome adorned with a few potted plants and some decorative drapes > Judy regurgitates some uninspired self-promotional diarrhea listing off school vitals and accolades (bout as engaging as listening to an audiobook of USF's wikipedia page) > hack of a keynote speaker (mine was a guy who owns some trampoline play park?) > Students file up through degree mill like cattle > Widespread awkwardness as Dome forced to recite Alma Madre only .05% of attendees actually know (exists or memorized) $400mil endowment'd The single, redeeming onstage moment from my grad was speech by student body Pres MD. Interesting, impassioned, relatable. Honorable mention to the quality people watching, with all the southern fried relatives crawling out of their respective woodworks to come be a part of the big day.
  7. LOLusfathletics.. Dismal air around our programs even when we are winning. I go into every game anticipating a loss, and walk out surprised and relieved when we're able to steal a W. Momentum? Consistency? Rhythm? All non-existent when your squad lacks the mental discipline to maintain uniformity in strategy and execution from week-to-week. Oddities and curveballs in performance are expected, pervasive in athletics and administration. Our university lacks identity, and this incompleteness carries over into the vibe our sports teams operate on. In 15yrs this will be a much more mature program. Post '07 grads (turning point in athletics culture) will be established with wealth and influence, and transiently this power and focus will mold our teams. Plus, Judy and DW will be long gone. We need visionaries in these positions. Neither of these two break the mold.
  8. gave us chance after chance in the waning minutes. couldn't capitalize. 8-3 barring uncharacteristic surge
  9. LOLfootballgameday. Go support hoops to a nationally televised win.

  12. better to just give the ball back to UCF.. more game time for our D to rack a pick-6. No need to subject the national audience to our "offense".
  13. I've toyed with the idea of submitting an anon piece to the Oracle that reexamines the Leavitt firing, particularly bringing to light Miller's character issues to invalidate his claims. I knew him briefly--complete degenerate asshat. Granting that kid a walk-on opportunity is the single most ill-fated decision in USF athletics' history. Could be easy to criticize the politics surrounding the firing as well, particularly the dynamic between CJL-JudyG-Doug. They wanted Jim to lay down and take his lashes--he said no.. pride cost him his job.
  14. Approved. We'll be sitting proper at 4-0 when Oklahoma St. rolls into town to a rollicking scene at the dome. USF-borne-cynicism tells me we'll blow a few conference games we shouldn't and get snubbed for the dance, but this young squad is CBI champs at worst.
