I'd support the Schiano hire, though from an X's/O's standpoint I'm sure there are better fits available in the P5 OC/assistant coach pool, no?
That being said, two glaring issues I'd like to get feedback on:
1) how could Schiano possibly overcome the public/donor relations rift in TB community? from a political standpoint, wouldn't Harlan really be hanging his neck out on a controversial hire like this? also, he's essentially deciding our program's fate with this hire, as there's no column on the scorecard for a 4th strike.
2) why would we bring on another coach whose offensive philosophy clashes with the playing style of our athletes?
Either way, the crux lies in extracting maximum value from the Woulard/Mack backfield.
