    I'm kinda lost here... how is it that people think that shrinking the fanbase for major college football is a good idea? Why take more teams out of the mix?

    Miami's mascot is an Ibis. At the Auburn game, who have two mascots (you can have two mascots if you are an SEC team apparently), it was really interesting to see how the War Eagle thing worked up there. Its a greeting, an exclamation, a battle cry, a retort, acknowledgement, and a goodbye. It's kinda cultish. Anywho, because we beat them, some students decided we should either make fun of them, or have our own moniker, that being the War Flamingo. Which is why, if you watch the 2007 USF WVU game, there are a bunch of bright pink flamingos all over the student section.

    Selvie was in the Heisman conversation that year. 'Till our first loss. Our 100% defensive player was mentioned along with the others in contention, that year. Marquel was probably our program's best player. Grothe our magic man. But Selvie had the talking heads sizing him up for the big prize.

    What's really amazing is how the teams and conferences completely run their business as a for profit company... except when it comes to the actual players. The teams and conferences gave up pretending they were an amature sports operation for a while now. They should get a taste of their own medicine. I think the NFL can forgo their Gentleman's Agreement with college football, treat them as they would any other entertainment competitor, and play football on Saturday's. They should either behave like an amature association or be treated like a professional enterprise.

    I find it a bit interesting, all our games are essentially in or bordering on the MidWest.

    Yeah. I live outta town. I visit there every time I am in Tampa. The website has needed attention for a long time. Many times, the website has given the impression the place was closed, with pics not loading up and all.

    I hope so. I read an article a while ago about how they focused on injury prevention. And amazingly, it works. They have the stats to prove it. Less injuries, more top players playing.
