if Tulane, no matter how good their record, is considered a “huge win” we really have fallen into the cellar. 10 years ago a win over Tulane was a given & anything other than a 3 TD win would be a disappointment. welp, here’s a 3 TD loss… on homecoming… to a team we actually smeared as “weakening” the AAC.

legit question. we are going NOWHERE with this guy. the longer hes “”””coaching”””” this team the more we delay the inevitable rebuild. its incredible that the Athletics Department compounded its mistake of firing Leavitt by hiring successively worse coaches. please get this guy out of here… or do us a favor & shut down the program until we’re ready to field a serious team. literally EVERY small podunk school in a podunk conference has had its moment in the sun while USF has been hot trash for what feels like a decade with a couple decent seasons of Q in between. smh.

CJS is cooked. done. charred to a crisp. the sooner we get the clipboard out of this unqualified waterboy’s hands the sooner we can start over… AGAIN. & maybe this time Kelly shouldnt be the guy making the hire cuz HE sucks at his job too. aside from the all-too-brief Flowers Era, this team has been bumcheeks since CJL was erroneously fired. that is our Indian burial ground, our cardinal sin, our curse… if bad coaches were hurricanes USF would be Port Charlotte. maybe theres a bigger picture im not privy to but this team looks a lot closer to shuttering or downgrading to FCS than fooling a P5 conference into inviting this clownshow into their ranks. UCF played the long game & won DESPITE USF trying to keep them out of the club… now it’s USF out in the cold & UCF has moved so far beyond its cute little “RiVaLRy” with USF they dont even bother to take the time to laugh at us anymore. we are THAT irrelevant. from 64-17, #2 in the country to UCF not even wasting their time acknowledging our football program exists because they not only have bigger fish to fry but the fish theyre frying were caught in a lake we cant even see with a ******* telescope.

they win that game, the narrative of this season changes regardless of the rest of the schedule. it was a stepping stone. but they blew it & theyre just not good enough to build off a loss, no matter how well played. the only thing that changes this season is winning an AAC championship. i dont even think squeezing out bowl eligibility, as impressive as that would be given the garbage coaching staff, would be enough. there are moments in history that this program made a name for itself by winning… they just havent been able to seize those moments like they used to. not making any more plans around this team this season. not struggling thru 3rd rate streams cuz the game is on some 3rd rate local station. not donating anymore money. if i happen to catch a game here or there i will always cheer them on but continuing to dump money & time into this program just doesnt make sense. its just not fun to watch at all.

USF Bulls football & Saturday conversations have been apart for a looong time. lol shouldnt u be following the hoops team?

when ppl say depth they dont just mean having players to fill a position, they mean players without a significant drop-off in talent from the starters to the bench/backups. the ideal is obviously to have backups at every position who COULD be starters & were competitive with the eventual starters in camp. guys who push the starters.

the guys are still in this game. they responded to 2 extremely bad, game-changing plays in rapid succession with poise enough to score a field goal at the end of the half. if they dont continue getting forked by the refs they can win this game the way theyre playing. this is as good a team effort ive seen from them in awhile. watchable, high-level football. bush league officiating tho.

just win the AAC. they can play with the Gators they can play with friggin Tulane & Toledo or whoever is in the AAC atm.

i didnt get to see the replay cuz my stream is trash but the fact that they werent quick to show another replay afterwards is all i need to know. this team is standing toe to toe with the Gators & is 1 fumble & some **** calls from being up 3 if not more & running the clock down int9 halftime.

that’s assuming the coaching staff actually has balls to go to the walls with.

thats Jackson State’s problem. worrying about Deion leaving as an excuse to not even pursue the idea is ridiculous. even if he’s only here 3-4 years that might just be enough to generate some excitement around this program as it (hopefully) catches the next round of expansion at just about the same time. this program needs a dynamic change & FAST.
