  1. The Bama/Michigan Rose Bowl CFP pregame has repeatedly mentioned the Bama/USF game as THE defining moment of Jalen Milroe’s career & Bama’s football program this season. Milroe said, near direct quote, “my favorite moment of the season was the USF game. that’s where we found out the DNA of this team & what we needed to do to win… we learned to play for the guys next to you…” im not a “moral victory” kinda guy, but our game against Bama earned us TONS of positive coverage & at least half a dozen mentions from Bama players AND the pregame commentators on HEAVILY watched national TV. millions of people in bars & at barbecues just heard “USF” mentioned repeatedly with video clips of our game peppered in. USF to SEC?
  2. no rational person believes OCS alone will propel USF into the P4, just like no rational person believes stomping Syracuse 45-0 in the 2023 Boca Raton Toilet Bowl to go 7-6 on the season in & of itself makes USF a “sleeping giant” in the state of Florida. likewise, AAU status— probably the most important of USF’s credentials— is not enough to get USF into the big boy’s club on its own or we would be in a ****** conference with a bunch of Texas schools not named UT or TAMU instead of Florida Central. no single accomplishment or initiative or quarter billion construction project is getting USF into a more relevant conference. it’s going to take ALL those things & more to get USF out of the minor leagues. the real question here is a simple one to answer: does an OCS improve USF’s chances at catching a ride on the next conference realignment? absolutely. facilities are a key component to any growing program looking to be competitive. it shows conferences the university has a vested interest in growing the school’s athletic brand & reputation. it shows that USF isnt content having a mediocre mid-major program that plays in-state bowls against some 6-6 P5 underachiever every few years. nobody spends $350M on that. it also matters to recruits & players. yes, pro-stadiums have an appeal but the luster wears off & players may not feel ownership of the building the way they would if the stadium were a 10 minute walk from their dorms. thats an underrated element in the NIL/Transfer Portal era: it’s not just about impressing high school recruits with brand new facilities & a vibrant campus life, it’s about fostering a sense of home & ownership that will KEEP those players on Fowler & not in the portal. RayJay is like renting your first apartment after moving out of your parents’ place. an OCS is like buying a house. now USF can sell players on building that house (or the history & traditions that take place inside it) & decorating that house with trophies & banners & the names & numbers of players who built a legacy in that house. & one of the best parts of owning a house is hosting parties & reunions & get togethers with relatives. an OCS brings alumni back to campus, keeps us involved & invested in the growth of the program. WE get to build our tailgating & gameday traditions & they will have NOTHING to do with pirate ships & skulls! & sometimes when u host Holiday dinner at your house, your rich aunt & uncle see the hard work u put into making that house a home & might fit the bill on the in-ground pool u want to build, or the privacy fence u want to put up… getting donors back on campus where they can see how their money is being spent will be a massive boon that RayJay can never provide to the program. then there are all the tertiary benefits: potential stadium jobs for students that are right on campus; the capacity to host large events & concerts; sponsorship money for different areas of the stadium complex; collaboration with/investment from corporate partners etc. it has the potential to be a home base not just for all things USF Football but for USF student & alumni culture. Come to the Bay, Stay in the Bay? sheeeit, come to Fowler stay on Fowler! the OCS absolutely needs to happen & the list of benefits of having a home for USF football on campus only gets longer & longer the more i think about it.
  3. we will not tolerate slander from your corner of the California poop map, sir. he may be short & the heels may cause bunions, but he’s OUR hobbit in heels. also, your greasy grifter with veneers got dragged by said stillettoed dwarf on national TV. anyways, i would be content with a Florida University Conference Coalition for no other reason than when we complain about moving to a new conference our slogan can be “Lets get the FUCC outta here!”
  4. im sure this has already been posted & discussed but FSU getting screwed & heading to the SEC is the best thing that could have happened to USF…
  5. as long as we can see them on TV. ideally these would be one of many designs/colorways. id take a 50/50 split, 6 games of the classic gold helmet+green/white jerseys & 50% different variations of slime green, SoFlo ombré green, baby **** green, etc. we are already flirting with the idea, might as well make it a tradition, kinda like ugly Christmas sweaters… bring on the bile green jerseys!
  6. i love these. i always wanted USF to be the Oregon of the East with their *unis: give me classic gold domes, white jerseys & green pants… but ALSO give me the most rancid puke vomit catpiss green with highlighter yellow & every shade of green from forest to “Mountain Dew can”. I love it all, including these!
  7. is he the DC? Golesh needs to make some upgrades to the defensive staff. Brown is a solid young QB & we’re wasting his career with inadequate defensive staff.
  8. Maybe one day we’ll have a defense that doesn’t give up 6-8 touchdowns a game
  9. bruh we used to schedule these bums as an easy early season warmup game now we’re getting wrecked at homecoming on our own field somebody make it make sense
  10. it’s been several games now where our front 4 has been incapable of pressuring the QB in the pocket, who proceeds to carve us up for hundreds of yards thru the air. meanwhile Brown barely has a few seconds to get a pass off. both lines need to be better.
  11. I don’t think I want to watch this. I could be watching conspiracy videos on YouTube.
