Grothe he had a few NFL players on the defensive side of the ball. it’s a team sport & both sides contribute to winning or losing. Marquell, Matt, BJ & Q are all legendary for different reasons & in different eras. Blackwell helped propel USF to the big leagues, Grothe & Daniels won us some of our most iconic games while in the BE, Flowers led us to our best season records. hard to compare them objectively given the different circumstances they played under.

EXACTLY. this didn’t feel like Marsh holding down the fort while Timmy gets healthy, it felt like an audition for starter. WHY? that does NOTHING for Timmy, NOTHING for Marsh who is quickly going to become a scapegoat amongst fans & media if the first fraction of momentum we had since CJS got here is torched because CJS wants to have a QB battle 7 games into the season. absolutely stupid.

other than failure to run & lack of imagination when running on critical downs, the guy threw 3 picks including a pick 6 & picks on consecutive possessions late. his accuracy, granted hampered by rain, was not very good. all the celebrating after the Temple win when we ran 3 plays all game just flipping left to right was a bit premature. it was clear that wasn’t going to work for 80% of the teams on our schedule. Marsh may not be bad, but Timmy is our QB & hearing quotes that CJS is “comfortable going forward with either 2/3 of the way thru the season is asinine. pick a QB & commit to building around him. Marsh should ONLY be used in emergencies & garbage time, not auditioning for a possible future starting job this late in the game. more Bush League BS from this pop warner coaching staff.
