  1. this coach is booty cheeks. he has no clue wtf hes doing. USF is were recruits come to retire.
  2. one of the 2 greatest jerseys of all time. the colorblocked retro ‘70s UA SoFlo jerseys were GOAT
  3. this turd cant be polished. making a couple plays after being down 30+ points is not “showing life,” it’s just the other team taking its foot off the gas & subbing in 2nd teamers to avoid injury. there was no life there, it was just BYU easing off… & they STILL added 20 more points while we were “showing signs of life”
  4. i would take being trash in the Pac-? than being trash in the AAC. being Oregon right now would give me more hope for the future than what USF is staring at.
  5. i dont think those are entirely fair comparisons. those are in-state games between (current) mid-major schools. but your point is still valid. that showing was pathetic.
  6. i am thankful that i was a student just as USF was at its peak. i attended the first 6 games of 2007 only to watch “illegal forward propulsion” kill the program from a Lee Roy Selmons in Bradenton, then attended 3 more games, including a trip to El Paso. there was nothing like it. i didnt miss a game from 2005 til the pandemic, whether in person or online, even watching glitchy streams from filthy internet cafes while working in South America. i had my “6 weekend a year” family, the WONDERFUL alumni-fans that sat next to me in 125 thru all the near-fistfights with Miami fans, shouting matches with Rutgers fans & cheering until i was hoarse for half a week. i wore USF gear regularly, not just on game days. i was proud of my collection of USF gear. CLOSETS full of jerseys— even vintage ones with the Humpback Baby Cow logo that predated my time as a student— BOXES full of gameday swag, programs, pom poms, clackers, mini-helmets, even a custom Darth Vader USF helmet… EVERY classroom i taught in on two continents had USF pennants on the wall behind my desk, right next to my Celtics, Red Sox & Patriots stuff. but this team hasnt been worth watching in years. it is no longer fun & hasnt been as long as i can remember. the Athletic Dept. is incompetent, at least as far as building a winning football tradition is concerned… my life used to be scheduled around USF football for 4 months out of the year, now i might catch 2 or 3 games a season. i’ll always love my alma mater. im more proud of my degree than anything that happened on the field. but i havent bought new USF merch in at least 5 years & havent been to a game since 2018. i’ll always be a Bull & treasure my time at USF… but athletics?
  7. this program has been so bad for so long, falling so far from a burgeoning young program setting records as the “sleeping giant of Florida college football” in a BCS conference with respectable, occasionally ranked Power Conference opponents (WVU, Lville, Cinci, Pitt, Rutgers), blowing UCF out by 52 points… to getting demoted to a putrid AAC & lapped FIVE TIMES OVER by UCF who came to the weakened Big East/AAC after the exodus, took advantage of the opportunity & won conference championships, BCS Bowl games, New Years day bowls & actually even convinced a significant portion of sports media that they won a “NaTiONaL cHaMpiOnShiP” in 2017. all while USF careened to the f’ing bottom of the barrel behind 3 terrible coaching hires with a brief interlude of Willie’s Bus sandwiched in between. then Willie chose to torch his career rather than stay in this dump. getting personal— whether due to inebriation or a literal decade of spending/donating time & money to a program that continuously leaves us miserable & defeated— is never a GOOD thing… but Brad, these people are hurting. the castigating finger of TBP’s dad wagging at us for venting frustration is only salt in the wound. there is no place to vent. THIS is USF’s most tight-knit, active online community. only die hards are left here. let them be mad. delete the posts that cross the line sure, but it would take a firehose of red paint to put lipstick on this pig. that stadium was awful empty for a Top 25 opener at home… how long before the donations dry up?
  8. he coached in non-BCS conferences too, Brad. he didnt win much of anything there either. but we know u think the program is in disarray because of the fans on your message board so we have the miserable aaand… the miserable. at least u have a place to not only vent, but attack those very fans. if the horrible fans on this board hold so much power, imagine if this place was used to actually do something productive for the program instead of just fester in decades-old bitterness over CJL. the biggest thing this program can do to improve itself is exorcise that demon but it’s clear so many in our fanbase don’t want to let it go. it’ll take a generation, or another undeserved hand-up to a Big Boys conference based on our recruiting location & media market rather than our on-field exceptionalism, to move past the imaginary CJL curse that’s really just bitter blood & spite from older fans that refuse to move on.
  9. USF isn’t Michigan or Oregon. u know your geography do u know what will attract the state’s 3rd & 4th tier talent to the state’s worst D1 team? do u know what will keep them here once they commit & they realize literally *NONE* of the things promised by the coaching staff during recruiting are happening? sometimes it takes gimmicks, especially when you’re dealing with fickle 18, 19 & 20 year olds, some of them just out of ***high school, with access to a transfer portal & more rights as to where they play & more cushy amenities & perks than ever in the history of college revenue sports. USF doesn’t have the eight centuries of tradition that Michigan has or the partnership with the most popular sportswear brand of the last 4 decades that Oregon does… it also doesn’t have the luxury of defining itself as a brand new program the way it did in its first 13 seasons with Jim Leavitt. this program has spent ALMOST as much time playing musical coaching chairs as it did playing for CJL. there is A LOT of water under that bridge, a lot of skeletons in that closet, a lot of baggage & a lot of hard, bitter feelings “for such a young program” NONE of which are marketable to these young players. even the few bright spots on the program’s resume mean virtually nothing to an 18 year old kid deciding between USF & FAU… & by virtually nothing I mean less than a gimmicky “slime” colored helmet decal. i know it’s hard for the boomers to fully accept, but this is exactly what USF is now. failure to accept USF for what it was 10 years ago when we were still a reasonably decent 2nd tier mid-major FBS school (by 2nd tier mid-major i mean a cute upstart/darkhorse that was good for an upset or 2 during the season but never won **** at the end of the day. see: Boise St, Utah, TCU, UCF for 1st tier mid-majors if u need a comparative reference) is in very large part why this pill is so hard for so many to swallow now. so how about embracing the slime because it’s one of the only even moderately exciting things to happen on the field for USF this season. unless u have some better suggestions of “things USF football did in 2021 worth getting excited about,” but i’m taking the safe bet & riding with the slime unis.
  10. it never fails that u lash out at people on your message board for disappointment caused u by THIS TEAM. this season was a dumpster fire & there is no one to blame but the coaching staff, the players (with a few exceptions), athletics & the university. doesn’t it ever get old?
  11. I spent 10 minutes trying to find a stream and 10 seconds watching the game before I quit, just like this team has quit & just like this coaching staff SHOULD quit.
  12. or like that time I bought acid from a stranger at a train station in Chicago.
  13. U play soft coverage to prevent the big play then give up the big play.
  14. Call me soft but I just kick that ball knowing our QB’s hav3 issues under center.
  15. McClain could have just run that for the first. whoever called that should be put on notice.
  16. what team are we watching and what did they do with our Bulls!?!? Timmy is looking Godtier
