  1. I just don't believe the President of USF has time to sit around worrying about how the MBB team this year or that.
  2. My point was that I don't think she made the decision. The Board of Trustees seems to have more influence than Judy in these firings.
  3. All I know is former AD DW said that he wanted to give him another year. Don't know why Judy would go against his wishes.
  4. Send me a PM and let me know what you are looking to do and I'll try to get the right guy.
  5. Anyone who's father can drive a car around a race track on 2 wheels gets my vote. J/K
  6. Are you trying to reach anyone in particular? I have some cell numbers that I could reach out to for you. I've deleted the former AD's.
  7. Way, way before our time as Bulls fans but this struck me as extremely sad. 39? Wow.
  8. Judy may have a say but I'm pretty sure she can't/won't make this decision herself. The Board of Trustees seems to be the driving force behind firing people in Athletics so I guess they have a pretty big say in hiring people.
  9. Good thing students don't show up at games. No one will ever see those shirts.
  10. We always buy season tix. Didn't get to very many games this year though, maybe 5 or 6. Just a strange year and had my mom in her end stages. Other than CBM's introduction press conference we haven't had time to meet him yet. As of now all of our legacy $$$$ are going to baseball. Hopefully next year we can get things back together, meet him and get to more games. I love baseball but the pace of the game usually prevents us from staying for the whole thing. I grew up in an era when an average game lasted like 2 hours and 15 minutes. Now two hours in and your in the top of the 6th.
  11. Cigar City being from Tampa may work better. So we need to bury a bottle or 2 or 1,000 next to the Dome.
  12. I guess you can find what you want on wiki. This says, and being from the area I always thought, that Rutgers v Princeton was the first. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/1869_college_football_season
  13. Got a WNBA ball signed by her, even though she only had a cup of coffee in the league. Also got it signed by Jessica Dixon, Alisha Jenkins and Courtney.
  14. Would love to see him star with the Rays.
  15. After reading that I'm not sure he wasn't just guessing at everything he said. Judy has to approve any hiring but not sure how involved she's been in past searches. As he mentioned there was a search firm last time as well.
  16. You aren't eating bourbon pudding then. I kid, I kid.
  17. We've been through this before. Not everyone on here is an alum of USF. We budget an amount of money to go to charities each year. We've selected USF Athletics for the bulk of that money based on how people treated us over the years. We could easily flip flop that amount and give more to Moffitt and some other charities. Our former AD MH had us questioning whether we should direct more funds to other things. We did increase our donation by 10% last year in spite of our relationship with him because others, past and present, in the Bulls Club drove home that point that we are doing it for the student athletes. Had enough after last year and took away that extra 10%. We realize what we contribute barely moves the needle, but at USF every friggin penny counts. This isn't UCLA. The donors aren't lining up out the doors to give. So you would think one would at least recognize that you exist when in the same room.
  18. Don't remember who said it, maybe Bill Parcells, but "You are what your record says you are"
  19. Obviously we didn't. But what we did have was good enough to give us good seasons in all the sports mentioned. The biggest disappointment of those mentioned as far as advancing, as much as it pains me to say it, was golf. With four talented seniors it would have been nice to advance.
  20. Scott is a great guy although not everyone I know is a fan. We are however and he is respected at the Foundation. Don't know if he'll be considered for the permanent job. I would think so but who knows. Actually took the time to text me when my mom passed. Harlan was too busy looking for a job, not that I ever expected to hear from him.
  21. Don't know if he is the guy that lead the search for Harlan or not. Not sure if he was there when that selection was made. Was told way back that the person that was running the Sports Management Program pushed for Harlan when no one else knew much about him. So if the same guy I'm less hopeful than I was before this was announced. Dr. Bill Sutton, professor in the Muma College of Business and director of the Vinik Sport & Entertainment Management Program
  22. Would make sense. He runs a lot of stuff over there.
  23. The couple of parents that I've met over the years have echoed this. If you are thinking of being a pro, after your junior year is your best bet. I'm sure there are exceptions but I think we lose a big chunk of this team.
