  1. Was it really? We had one of the grand kids today so totally missed it. I'm ashamed. Had my normal amount but could have done something nicer to celebrate.
  2. If you sell your tickets to the big game how are you a fan? You could do the same for a game v FSU at Ray Jay. So what good did we do changing the system if we have less season ticket holders? Have overall donations gone up because of the policy change? IIRC you had to be an Iron Bull or close to that to sit at the 50. Now, instead of a $10,000 donation you pay $400 per seat to sit there. Not sure how that works out in the long run.
  3. You still win because that seems to be important but just a question or two. How do you recoup a donation? Are all of those freeloaders still season ticket holders? And a general question, has the policy change increased donations or season ticket purchases? I don't know the answer to these two.
  4. Was going to mention that. Saw her at the Birmingham Bowl a couple of years ago. Still supporting USF.
  5. We can argue this but I don't see the sense. Penn State rolled it out over a year and half. The same guy involved there was here and said it would have been better to have more time. I'm going with him. Everyone can believe what they like.
  6. That wasn't my fridge. It was found online by someone else. I probably have 8 bottles of beer in the house. Bourbon on the other hand........maybe about 22. Edit: and no I don't have a drinking problem. Have an ounce to 1.5 ounces a day. Now the 150 bottles on wine on hand may also indicate a problem. Bourbon and wine are meant for sharing. So when people visit we do indulge.
  7. Believe an article put it at high 6 figures. If the Vinik group gets 35% we should still be clearing around 1/2 million.
  8. Yet that pi$$d off a lot of people. And, instead of doing it like was done at Penn State, where a former Bulls Club employee had faced the same issue, he did it in like 4 months here. So there was no time to soft serve it to people. Just ram it down their throats. His way or the highway.
  9. Don't know when I'll see him but I'll check with David Goldstein who sponsored last year's group.
  10. Thought the article I read said they will be looking into it and the appropriate number of games for other sports.
  11. Here's my Judy story. Went to opening soccer match of the year a few years ago. A couple of Freshmen were sitting in front of us and they spotted her. They were so excited and wondered if they could get a pic with her. I called her over and she gladly did a few selfies with them. They were so, so excited. She's a rock star on campus. I wonder how many students could pick their college president out of a lineup.
  12. Your fridge didn't look like that on Sunday. You must have restocked. And thanks for the bourbons.
  13. While Judy sees so many people and probably has no clue of our names, her husband Steve actually knows ours. He is a huge USF sports fan. And, for the record, they previously made a $1million donation to International Studies.
  14. What was it in response to? The initial post was about a burial ground jinx. I've just had 4 days with the grandkids so maybe I'm missing something.
  15. A reminder of the original post: While watching the Golf Channel just a few minutes ago someone brought up the bad weather that plagues The Memorial tournament quite often. So legend has it that the course was built on an Indian Burial Ground. Supposedly Nicklaus's wife brought a glass of gin to the grave of the Chief. They said she didn't know whether he drank bourbon. What we need is for someone to do research into which Indian Tribe occupied the area and find out what the Chief liked to drink. Assuming we can't come up with any thing I'll offer try to bury a bottle of bourbon somewhere next to the Sun Dome and hope that being made from primarily corn that that is sufficient. This is all just for laughs because I found it funny to hear the phrase Indian Burial Ground relating to a jinx at something other than USF.
  16. We'll find out in 5 years or less how this works out for Utah. Maybe he'll get them into the AAC.
  17. Shouldn't Taggart be ready for the job by now? He's been at FSU for 6 months now. Of course that would be a pay cut for him.
  18. Re: Shane. Thought I read somewhere that teams avoided him or that the Rays may have trouble signing him because of his insistence on a $3 million deal. His slot is for $2.2 but he still wants/wanted the $3.
  19. Pretty good impersonation. Looked just like the real one. Guess I should have looked at the ball.
