  1. And if you call on July 6th and told them you'd like to up your donation level for the current July to June year I'm pretty sure they won't kick you to the curb. We're at our max level so that isn't a concern for us. But we may kick in some more now that what's his name is gone.
  2. Definitely passed the initial test. And all the conversations I had with people that know him sounds like a genuinely good guy and hard worker. Didn't even ask about bourbon. Thought I read something about the church he belongs to being Methodist so he may not drink.
  3. So, first impressions. Got a few minutes with him in the Hardwood Club. He was pleasant and friendly yet had an air about him that was businesslike. His wife seemed very nice. The oldest daughter was born here. Both daughters will be in high school. He won't be here full time until mid August cleaning up stuff with the other job. I made it a point to say that he is lucky to have a great staff and that we liked everyone here. Sure that won't mean much but wanted him to know we hope the staff stays. We don't need any more turnover. He asked us what our favorite sport was and told him we support them all. I lied because we still haven't purchased MBB for this year. But after talking with CBG we may. He, Gregory, is such a great guy and so positive. He said that he has signed 16 players in 15 months here and didn't sign 15 players in 5 years at Ga Tech. At the presser, VP of A MK gave the same answer as Harlan when asked about P5 by Joey (who greeted us with a smile and a handshake). Dominate the league we're in but we're always looking to improve our competition (or something to that effect). The other guy that everyone wanted, Higgins, was there. Lee Roy Selmon's wife was there. Although I think USF AD is a tough job, this preeminence thing will only make things easier for him when it comes to moving up.
  4. Thanks. I'm thinking of replacing an old patio bar with this. Then would be able to pack it a up a few times a year to bring to our tailgate.
  5. We'll be meeting him within the hour. Really nice going to campus looking forward to seeing the AD as opposed to dreading it.
  6. Going back to the bar itself. Can anyone find what the exterior of the bar is made from? I see where the frame is steel but is the wrap a fabric? Thanks.
  7. This is the kind of stuff I enjoy reading. Gives me hope that I can travel to Texas, Oklahoma and Kansas to see our teams play any conference away game. Almost forgot WV. (Where is the sarcasm font?). Would rather the Big 10 for variety. If we make AAU status......... Edit: The first sentence I meant. Nice to hear from ND that they think highly of our new VP of Athletics.
  8. Is that bull smiling in that picture? Is that same bull still on campus?
  9. Know what I posted. So is she in years of service 0 - 2 or 3+ ? 10. When someone finds the MLS listing please post it. Otherwise
  11. So in your rookie year you don't get paid? Rookies get paid rookie salary in their rookie year. I would think 3rd year you get 3rd year pay but I really don't know.
  12. Again, but how then do you have all these Associate ADs? There doesn't seem to be an AD. Maybe they are changing all of their titles. And I am just having fun with this and am not serious.
  13. Guess it is official. Fire Judy!!! </sarcasm>
  14. Where do you guys tailgate? We still love the tailgating but it is the packing and unpacking, set up and tear down that is getting harder each year we do it. Only 8 of us now that Swamprat isn't doing it every game. And we've pretty much given up on the week day games. We can get there early but the rest of the gang works and our daughter doesn't come since the kids have school. Is that the tailgate that Swamprat did prior to last year?
  15. You've got way too much talent and time. Very cool.
  16. I'm just not clear on how you have a vice president if you don't have a president. And how do you have deputy directors of athletics if you don't have a deputy director? I know it is just titles and the jobs are what they are. Just doesn't make sense to me.
  17. We have been winding down our tailgating the past couple of years but this may rejuvenate my interest.
  18. I am too. So all the people that are Deputy and Asst Directors of Athletics will now come Speaker of Athletics? And who is President of Athletics?
  19. I saw a blurb yesterday about him being the only one not to sign. The word delusional comes to mind. Would I like to see him back at USF? Sure. But can't imagine what he and his "advisers" are thinking.
  20. Are there people that have been on the Board of Trustees since Brett's era?
