  1. Thanks. It may also help this increasingly confused old man which way to the restrooms.
  2. I had a good time visiting with friends at the Bulls game yesterday and then returned home to a lovely (almost) fall day in NC so, even for those reasons alone, I feel pretty good.
  3. From now on at the 50 yard line at Moretz Stadium, Lenoir-Rhyne University. Go Bears!
  4. Could I get into the club at an OCS? Now you may have something I can get behind.
  5. Listing to ESPNU on the way back from the game this morning was a hoot. Don't know who was most flabbergasted and pissed: Ohio State, Texas, USC or FSU fans. Our misery has plenty of company this weekend.
  6. They seem to be recruiting well so far but apparently, watching the last play last night, the staff has never coached football before. For USF - FSU grads like me yesterday was pretty, pretty, pretty bad.
  7. Seriously, stupid stuff like that is a problem for a program begging for support. It costs nothing to provide Club Access and can be easily coordinated with their magical digital ticket technology. Creates unnecessary ill will. And when pointed out to staff they didn't do much to try to address for the day even though they all know me quite well. Again it would have cost nothing and taken little to no effort. They did hit me up for my donation renewal last week, however, so that is something....
  8. And people mocked them for declaring themselves National Champs. NCAA followed suit and it paid off for UCF. Everyone should use that marketing genius.
  9. Funny. They locked me out despite having club seats and being a longtime donor at a healthy level.
  10. I married a UCF grad and former student athlete...but otherwise a lovely person. She suggested after NC State I could switch allegiance. It was not well received.
  11. Also part of my Angry Old White Guy DNA! P.S: I also don't understand how emojis work (electronic ticket rant thread).
  12. All of this arms race is crazy at every level. I moved to a small NC town and joined the donor's club of a small but well-respected Division II school, Lenoir-Rhyne, with a football stadium that seats about 8,500. They have just announced they about half-way toward their fundraising goal to renovate the stadium to include all new facilities, including luxury suites and a VIP donor lounge. Among the rationale for the upgrade was that they have said they want to be ready if they decide to "move up." Is that Bowlsby on the line?
  13. Saw that also and chuckled. I'm pretty sure he spent more time there than in USF classes.
  14. Whatever works. Digital is the way of the world but, IMO, it has made most things more, not less complicated. I also noticed me and and a whole bunch of other folks got into that game just fine with paper tickets.
  15. True enough. Altruism is a rational construct used to sort certain acts into "good" and "bad" baskets in our minds when, in actuality, motives and actions are seldom so black and white. History decides and history is usually wrong, too.
  16. BTW, in answer to that GEICO commercial about printing paper boarding passes, I am with those people. So much easier. And I could only wish turn into my parents. They were smart, industrious and successful in every way that really counts. Miss them so much every day.
  17. If I were you I would download to your wallet just for ease and safety. My app kept losing contact to my tix and when I went on it would log in like it is supposed to but say I had no ticket purchases. I checked with Bulls ticket staff and they were at a loss to explain the problem. I had to remove and reload the app several times to be able to access my tix so I downloaded to the wallet just to be sure as a backup.
  18. Let's Zoolander that bad boy! I give you the Holtz New Era - Finished Strong Stadium for Kids Who Can't Play Good. We can all get on the tiny little bus to get there.
  19. If you're thinking of replacing Jeff and Brad don't forget us. null
  20. Let's wait until Skip and Jim meet again in a couple weeks and then we can decide which to bring back.
