  1. Is that a Tennessee thing? Never thought of that. Chattanooga is the home of the MoonPie, one of the basic southern food groups when served along with an RC Cola. But MoonPies go with anything.
  2. Chattanooga is a nice town with a few breweries from which we might welcome them bringing samples, such as Chickbock or Surrender Monkey. Whatever themed brew you choose though, remember to accompany it with a MoonPie.
  3. Sorry to inform you but anyone, anywhere can have problems. Yes, sadly, exactly. With the likes of Voss and Leon Orr, Gulf High's football program has had some bad press of late. And New Port Richey, like so many other places, is not the idyllic town it once was. However, I know countless success stories who are NPR natives and Gulf High graduates. Many of them are proud USF alums as well. I wish Mr. Voss and Mr. Orr all the best going forward in their lives.
  4. At least double figures. All my tickets are being used plus two. Trying to do my part.
  5. As a USF/FSU alumn who thoroughly enjoyed that game at the Doak, I don't suspect this game to be the same. FSU won't let USF sneak up on them but I do agree that Clemson game could have an impact. I'm looking forward to a good one with the local kids, as usual, bringing a little extra for in-state bragging rights.
  6. Big East championship, no doubt. Even a decisive win over FSU would be forgotten by year's end if we lose out in the Big East again. Given all the circumstances, with pending conference realignments and our own tenuous posiition in the haves vs. have nots split in college football, failure to capture Big East this year coud have longterm detrimental effects on our program. We need it badly this year.
  7. This is, to put it mildly, a thorny problem for many of us. I'll be hosting a dozen people but keeping a favorable balance of USF to FSU fans is tricky. I graduated from both schools and have lots of friends and family who went to USF or FSU and, while I solidly back the Bulls in this game, some folks have primary allegiance to the Noles. I even have friends who I have attended many home and away games with who do double duty when possible, i.e.. attending both the USF and FSU games in the same day. It's tough to maintain faithful fandom and family harmony at the same time.
  8. Ought to be a good time as anticipation builds for coming season. Who's going?
  9. Important question: Is there a Hooters discount card enclosed? Yep!!!! Eureka! I got mine, too. With the Hooters card and the Great Clips discount key tag, these tickets pay for themselves. I'll have to start breaking 'em in tonight.
  10. 1) Tough one. 1997 inaugural year was remarkable. 2001 including road trip to see win @ Pitt also a good one. 2007 was fun (for a while). I guess I have liked most of them, last year excluded. 2) Not a game winner but most memorable for me was Billy Grammatica's 63 yarder vs. Austin Peay in 2000. I was on the field for that one. 3) Ben Moffitt interception return against WVU 4) 38K +/- 5) Dinner. Breakfast is always too **** early.
  11. Whatever it all means, I have made my request on the ROFR. We'll see if this works better than the lottery.
  12. Important question: Is there a Hooters discount card enclosed?
  13. I would really prefer if the Bulls used the Amazing Supporters Seated Every Season (ASSES) System, which sells all of its tickets based of the correlation of the success of its athletics teams to support of its general fanbase. It is really an innovative breakthrough in marketing.
  14. I have absolutely no clue this year other than to follow tradition and go with the 8 or 9 wins. At least this year we have the possibility to get an early start on our in-conference meltdown (kidding).
  15. If so, the hits just keep on coming. I'm not sure if the people I was going to get them for will want 300 level for $53 eaxch. Same here, the ones I was getting the tickets for are not sure they want to pay $53 for 300 level. I don't really want to get stuck with 4 tickets I can't use, and I'd rather not sell them to people not wearing green/gold. Think Christmas gifts And isn't it interesting how you start ranking your friends and family when there is a big game in town?
  16. I camp at 111 CC or whatever luxury suite I can sneak my way into,
  17. I'm supposed to get mine by UPS just in time to buy more Friday. What has brown done for you lately?
  18. Grad of both USF and FSU with lots of friends and family from both. I will be buying a whole lotta tix.
  19. I got my undergraduate degree from USF and post graduate from FSU but apparently it wasn't very hard to do.
  20. It is the Seminole Hard Rock, so it is to be expected. I'd boycott 'em but I've never been in the place so they probably wouldn't notice.
  21. Hope this works out and sorry to see JP go. He was one of the few on radio who spoke at all about USF, he was generally knowledgeable and positive and he even helped with our annual auction to raise money for USF athletic. Without JP my afternoon drive time sports talk choices werethe likes of Duemig, Paul Finebaum or ESPN. So basically, there were no choices.
  22. I'll be there. He's probably really looking forward to some rubber chicken after all that lobster.
  23. Still not sure why they wouldn't take their lumps this year since they would be eligible for the last BCS Championship game next year. Seems like a big risk.
  24. In the words of fellow Bulls fan Jake Barnes, "Isn't it pretty to think so."
