  1. Anytime I see these, I think of time wrangling like the following
  2. I wouldn’t say any - I was pleasantly surprised yesterday when the defense put up a 3 and out to start the second half (especially since Houston would have scripted those plays). We then go on that monster drive to grab the momentum and pull within 7 The issue there was that it was not sustained - Houston scored on their next two possessions, while USF came up empty on marginal 4th down plays.
  3. Compared to his other stars, Marsh played real well I believe this is the first time that he has gotten significant minutes and not thrown an interception
  4. Well - it is 15. If we had gotten the 2 pt conversion, that would have only been 13 and we could have claimed a close game at that point
  5. Well, UH put in their backup QB, so unless they do a 2 point conversion, we are probably looking at a 49-21 final
  6. True - at the same time, we have had several long drives this season that have ended empty, so it is nice to see a start to the half that featured a defensive stop, followed by a long drive for a TD
  7. I guess Weaver could have run the wrong route, but I can not see a crossing route resulting in settling in a zone
  8. How is it Weaver’s fault if he is running wide open on a crossing route and Marsh throws behind him?
  9. This is not the first time this season when the announcers have pounced on a CJS decision
  10. Florida overall is a low to mid level state for competitive distance running, so I am not surprised that we do not field a great team, but neither per se is Oklahoma (or most of the AAC states) Consisering that the min score in XC is 15, Tulsa probably had few (if any) of their runners out of the top 10 (both men and women) - that looks like a pretty well run program
  11. This seems mildly unpleasant, though there are places in Tampa (other than RJS that is) where people pay good money for this service
  12. As I wrote that, I knew that I was hanging one high in the zone for someone
  13. As I stated above, I do not disagree with doing this as long as it does not impact the game or Marsh’s ability to get into rhythm IMO, CJS and staff have not done a good job in the past (‘20 & ‘21) creating game plans incorporating multiple QBs - specifically ensuring that play calling suits the skills of the QB in the game at the time As such, as a fan, my preference is that CJS pick one and stick with him (at least while the game outcome is undecided)
  14. I don’t have an issue with giving Brown or Smith reps, but if CJS is playing to win (which he always should be), then any secondary QB reps should be after the game outcome has been decided Clearly, having only one experienced QB as a backup was not CJS’ plan coming into the season, but here we are. If Brown or Smith is the better QB option at this point, then CJS should just go with them regardless of the redshirt
  15. I love the attitude - especially the quotes about people telling him to transfer and why he stayed, as well as the line about Tom Brady. One thing bothers me - the line about Brown. After 3 years, CJS should know what Marsh brings to the table - either Marsh is the guy or he is not. No need in my opinion to have a QB competition or split reps this late in the season
  16. This list is like a punch to the gut and then a kick to the nuts First, we wind up on the list (ouch), then the write-up is not even very funny - in-fact, it barely makes any sense
  17. In that case, I would have locked myself in the AD Office, held all calls and taken the second day by force - Fortis Fortuna Adiuvat!
  18. I thought that we were beyond the year zero argument - I guess not The last time that I checked (about 4 weeks ago, which was the last time someone brought up year zero), the 2020 season featured the following: A) a full slate of games played by 100+ D1A schools B) A national championship game won by Alabama C) A full set of USF football statistics, posted on www.gousfbulls.com D) A USF Football team coached by Jeff Scott E) A salary (albeit a slightly reduced one) paid to Jeff Scott for his coaching services in 2020 Based on these points, 2020 was in-fact year one of Jeff Scott’s tenure at USF, the season counted and his coaching record that year was 1-8 A more compelling argument (if one was so inclined to make one), would be as follows: “I believe that Jeff Scott deserves a fourth year at USF because he inherited a program devoid of talent, with no on-field leadership, no recruiting pipeline and an abysmal general team attitude. As a result of this chaotic status, no coach could reasonably be expected to turnaround this situation in anything less than 4 years” Please note that I neither believe nor support this statement and if I was AD for a day, I would have fired CJS following the Cincinnati Game
  19. The closest would be the So-Flo units or the black Addidas one
  20. FA Rookie Camp Invite with the Bucs IIRC If you are going to bring up Julmiste, then you have to mention the Little Engine that Could in Brian Fisher
  21. I am wondering where the post presence is going to come from Beyond Tchewa, there are really no big bodies on the team (Muordar must be a stick since he is listed at 200 lbs and we have a handful of 6’6” to 6’8” guys who are all in the low 200s) Also, Matos is not listed - is he not going to play basketball or will he come over once football is done?
