  1. When did they stop going by "UNCC"? That's what I've always called them.
  2. Well. That's one way to fill the stadium. UF would work, too...oh wait, forgot, most UF "fans" are incognito this year because their team isn't winning.
  3. I posted something similar right after you...you beat me to it. But yes, I think it really is that simple.
  4. A few excuses (from the perspective of an old guy): We lost to Memphis last week. We got blown out at the last home game (homecoming) by FAU. Who the F is Temple? Many students are too lazy to get up early (noon game). Many students are too lazy to stand in the hot sun. There were P5 games on that were more interesting to them. There were many more students there than it looked like, but most of them were in the shade or in the club area. I think the 2nd one listed above is the biggest reason for the drop off. Every once in a while, the students really show up and impress like they did for FAU...but they are always let down. I truly believe that stringing some home wins together would keep them coming back.
  5. That's great. He even looks like an NFL player after the play when he does his pose and head butt with his teammate.
  6. It would be nice to get that bonus, though. I can't remember the last time we beat anybody as a big underdog. We've had so many chances. I don't think we've had one (that I can remember) since the CWT days. It sure would be nice to have one of those to make this first year for Golesh more special. In other words, a bowl game would be amazing, but to get bowl eligible by beating UTSA instead of having to save the must-win game for Charlotte would be that much sweeter.
  7. Gotta wonder how the stadium would look if the people in the west club were at their seats.
  8. Gameplan for this Saturday: Don't spot them the typical 14 free points in the first quarter, and I think we can pull this off.
  9. Let's do this! Gotta get 2 out of 3 and 2 of them are at home. How bad do we want this? Go Bulls!
  10. This is where I am, too. On top of this, I think I have been searching for any indication that we are "headed in the right direction" under the new leadership. Part of me looks at the 4 wins so far and the fact that we seem to have much more fight in us--and that is a huge positive. Part of me looks at the quality of the opponents we are facing compared to previous years, and that somewhat cancels it out. A win over Temple will keep things going in the right direction, but I'm afraid a loss to Temple will put me into the category of doubting that there has been much progress this year. Go Bulls.
  11. As much as we love doing that, and it is turning into a serious pattern and bad habit, I’d suggest we stop doing it.
  12. Sweep the leg. Do you have a problem with that, Mr. Lawrence?
  13. Ok. So really if you are a true Bulls fan, every game is a "must win." You can rationalize why for whatever reason you want to depending on the circumstances. Maybe because it's a conference game and you need to win the conference (that ship has sailed). Maybe because it's on national TV and you want to show the country that we are not chumps (that ship has sailed). Maybe because it's a home game? Maybe because it's a game against a team we should beat, or we are favored to win? Maybe it's that we need 2 more wins for bowl eligibility? Or maybe it's just so that we can take some relief in knowing that we are heading in the right direction (because I think we need this win to be able to confirm that fact). So yes, I can find a few reasons why this (and every other game we play) is a "must win." Go Bulls!
  14. Defense has been disappointing. What’s strange is that they looked like they were really gonna turn the corner earlier in the season. They plain looked better. Making tackles they would have missed last year, etc. there was a thread on here showing how our stats were on pace to blow last years stats out of the water. I guess the opponents watched film and recognized that they just need to attack us through the air.
  15. That was back when seeing a new helmet was a shocking and new experience. Later on a new helmet became just a weekly thing.
  16. This is seems to be our MO. I’m not going to attempt predicting this. 3-1, 2-2, 1-3 all seem like realistic outcomes.
  17. Awesome. Go Bulls! I read the article. Nice. But, I do have a question about the wind that day. What direction was it coming from? I only found this: "Winds were from the NE at 10-13 knots from the NE..."
  18. Sure. It means "there are no updates we can share at this time."
  19. What's the old saying? If you want to move up into the ranks of being considered average, you have to be able to beat average teams. would love another shot at Maryland, but true they may pick us apart. Step 1 is to get bowl eligible first.
  20. I wouldn't say "just as bad," but they certainly have shown that they CAN be just as bad (UAB, FAU) if they decide to forget how to tackle that day. Pass defense needs alot of work.
