Ok.... fine... even though Athletics used the old "USF" logo... it truly was academic. ANYWAY... to talk about the real substance of UCF boys comments. Like I posted earlier... why do we need uniforms? -Need changed out.... getting old (many very worn out) -Band growing to be very big.... not enough uniforms -Old logo.... I still think it doesn't look good Now with that said... the director did not "blab" at all. Judy herself "promised" the uniforms in open forum, many times. She will still tell you that, but we are just trying to find the $$$ to fund it. So lets all stop being rude, and face the facts.... the band just needs new uniforms. Just like the outdated, overcapacity CVPA buildings themselves, the uniforms are the same. We just need to find $130,000 to do it. All I need is five people to pay $27,000 each! Any takers? Sounds like a great tax break....

As long as they do something... fine by me... I just hope they also do some marketing on campus... like i always say, some students really dont know whats going on! or that we get free tickets (FSU/UF dont) A few signs and using current marketing board, etc would go a long way

It's still being created, but it is under way. I just sent off files for them to use for the video. I hope it gets done soon :-[ Everyone here will be the first to know... if I have anything to do with it. everyone on this board are huge supporters of athletics and the university. Thats why I love hearing what everyone says about the band and SG. Your opinion does get counted. I just wish the student body could voice their opinions about stuff to SG, etc better.

AHHHH wrong it is the athletic logo, being changed out with the new athletic logo. Athletics used the old "USF" without "University of South Florida" written under it. In fact, they all pretty much used the same thing. Now we have an athletic "USF" and the green box with "USF" in it for academics. The system changed... so basicly it is the athletic logo... since the band uses the new one.

They all have a long way to go... be I think we will field a good team this year. Like always, we know what needs to be improved, I just hope CJL figures it out!

Note: Note only is the logo wrong, but we are running on 8 years, they are all getting worn out and if we meet projected numbers (215 members last year, we hope for 250 to 300 this year!) we won't have enough uniforms. Sorry for not adding some of the very important fats in earlier. The logo thing sucks, but overall, we just need them! Update: A sponsor donor program is underway and being developed by the School of Music. We hope to gain more funds soon.

lol... who knows, maybe Ari would make a great senator! Anyway, everyone always wonders why people don't look into certain things, or don't support certain things on campus. Stand up! SG Senate has a lot of power, can you can truly make a differance on campus if you do it right!

This is a reminder that if you or anyone you know would like to join Senate in the 47th Term they need to turn in their application to Student Government Administrative Services By April 27 at 5 PM. The voting dates are May 3-4 from 7 AM May 3rd to 7 PM May 4th. The first meeting for all Senators will be May 9th. Applications available in the office or online at http://www.sg.usf.edu Senators oversee A&S funds collected from students. Many programs also assist athletics.

lol.... I like that one... Anyway... is it Athletics biggest challenge right now? Band Uniforms? NO.... I agree... we have A LOT of other issues.... but just remember that when FSU, UCF, UM, FIU, FAU, and everyone else in the country supports the "Athletic Bands." The Athletic Bands are a branch of the athletic dept. Now, of course, they are run by people in the school of music, CJL has tried conducting... didn't work too well. I just think its an issue of idenity, and how well all of USF presents itself. It's not just Athletics, its everyone.

NEW BAND UNIFORMS - Athletics won't pay for them anyway... finds come from different sources. BUT none of the 5 sources want to pay for it. COACHING SALARY'S - Find a good coach first - the ones that ARE good get paid more now IMPROVING FACILITIES ( THE RED) - It's coming, CAMPUS MASTER PLAN ALL ATHLETIC's FACILITIES WILL BE UPDATED WITHIN 5 to 10 years, according to the plan.... sorry... thats just politics Of course... we all know why he posted this poll.... and I don't quite like his attitude. What money... becuase I sure would like to know where it is ??? Needless to say, we were talking about the bands appearance to the public/nation, and how not having uniforms with the correct "image" could hurt not only out band program, but our entire university's image.

It's true, the directors are friends. None the less, the programs are different. And yes, I've seen UCF perform a few times, which we sing and dance also... in my opinion, too much. The "call of the bulls" has nothing to do with UCF though. Similar indeed. We just arnt "the same."

Umm.... and why would the improvement be due to UCF??? No offense... but UCF does exactly what everyone here is complaining about... long "musical" shows...
