It's consturctive... and it is critizing... therefore... constructive critizism... or someones opinion. Something thats meant to insert ones opinion to help better something. I hope that isnt a harsh term... since it isnt!

Well I tried to find out a little more about them... but their website still has the '04 calendar up. Slow and lazy webmasters. Anyway, I asked for good, bad, harsh DETAILS... we want to improve... not be run over by the USF bus... if we get ran over... it better be by the NC state bus. Becuase if we start getting ran over by the USF bus I know where you live! Have faith my good friends... In the mean time, you better send me D-E-T-A-I-L-S, not mindless jibbrish!

Well, what details would need to be improved to make us the best of the best? Trust me... I know we arnt the best out there... but I think we are doing a **** good job! The music is much better and the marching is getting better. We have improved leaps and bounds in the stands, 100% better than EVER before. The program is being run very well by a very dedicated staff and officers. We are working are butts off here! So please tell us what EXACTLY we could improve upon! (I'm serious... I want harsh details... Good and bad)

I beg to differ... being that about 60% of the HOT has been in corps and/or have been marching for 8 or so years... we know how to march! The traditions are what will be a long time coming. Only with time do the traditions come... besides... you don't want half ass made up traditions... you want those "remembering this all my life" stuff. It's coming... the HOT has been around for the ripe old age of 7! Second grade sucks... Hell, I've been marching longer than the HOT has been around! Just remember... we work hard to put that stuff out there... don't kill the spirit!

Yea... that would be interesting in an FSU "Chief Step" style... but crazy harder than the corps style. We had a version of "Bulls on Parade"... the current director took it out of our book. E-mail him and ask him to put it back... we all loved it. (mrobinson@arts.usf.edu) The others i doubt we will be able to do... simply becuase we don't have an arrangment... and John is good, but I doubt he will be able to write it out in time for us to learn it.

I must say... the words to our fight song need... umm some help. If you just look at them, you would never be able to figure out how to sing it! I just read FSU's up there, and the last time I heard the audio file of theirs was like 4 years ago... but I could still remember how to sing it... which means... we need to shoot our version! USF Bulls are we, We hold our standard upright and free. For Green and Gold we stand united. Our beacon lighted and noble to see. USF Bulls are we, For USF will always be. they are right... we arnt that big yet, you know so big that we cant do anything on the field! And yes... drum corps. Besides, that would ruin the "running of the bulls" when we run out of the tunnels (not really a secret anymore is it!?). But its still a tradition. Criticism is always accepted in and towards our program. We use it to grow, we feed off ideas. Anything you want to express is just fine! Besides, we are performing for the FANS! Tell us what you like... its fine! You can also e-mail our staff by clicking on their names on the contact list on our website. USF is building one hell of a program in very little time, we don't seem to have much time to run back and pick up the little things all the time. It's nice to be reminded!

You are right... personally I would love to sit were we could be heard... as currently our sound basicly has to travel a diagnal distance across the stadium. It stinks! But this is not something we can fight. They arnt going to give up 50 yard line seats, or move the stairs for us. I wish they would put us in a better area... talk to Athletics... they hear our story... but maybe with some students/fans saying it thye might think into it!

Nope... we needed access to the field, thats why we are that dumb corner... we need the staircase! The last time we sat in the student endzone (2003) we had to go through EVERYONE at the concessions stands and the overcrowded student section. We have grown in size since we sat in the endzone (2003 = about 120 --- 2005 = about 215 members). Hope that ends that rumor!

I will ask Dr R or Mr B when we will be able to distribute... we still have to do some recording at the Festival of Winds HOTSTOCK 05 this Sat. Remember... a few free audio files are located at http://band.arts.usf.edu/notice.htm You can burn some of those in case the CD doesnt come out in time... which looks like it might not

We want 300 + in the HOT next year... and with 75% returning, it would be possible! Get with everyone you know and talk them into joining up... the bigger THE BETTER! This program (band AND the sports) is only going to get better! and I must agree... they need to move us somewhere... and add more student seating too...

hmmm.... sounds interesting... I'm going to try getting with the College of Visual and Performing Arts webmaster and see what stuff they have to offer us as far as tech stuff. Thanks for the VERY quick response.. lol.. Billy

def working on it! I talked to Mr. B today... we are trying to figure out arrangments for things... Most of our problems come from distributing the things we sell... I mean, really... no one wants to have to go to the LIF office and pick it up (if we can even keep it staffed). Ideas are coming across... although if you find anything that might work... let us know! We could try to do iTunes or the Athletics online store or somehting... but we would like to keep it in house so we can make it cheeper and make more money! ;D If anyone knows of a site that sells mp3's for people or maybe how paypal would work... let me know. With audio files already available on our website (band.arts.usf.edu), I currently do not see any issues with us putting the files online (once we record them!). We have all of the Pre-game music online... although... we are currently looking for ways to raise funds without having to sit at the corner Marathon station washing cars ;D I would assume songs like #8 (also called the Spainard) will be up as soon as I get the recording... She is right... cheerleaders, sundolls, and the HOT band are all "spirit squads"and are all trying to get you in the game. (I think the band's the best at it... haha... but thats becuase we have 230 people blowing into metal objects... )
