    Does sound bad now that we lost.... but we sure came close.... then again all of our teams "came close"... which gets you very little.

    This must be a trick... right? CJL is just using PJ to make everyone think they can stomp on our heads... right? I've been to every home game and many away games while being in the band... and for the last three years I haven't seen much happen with PJ in the pocket, or lack of a pocket. Lord help us all.

    I must agree. Once our research and athletic programs improve and start winning/annoucing developments we will see big time national coverage. You don't get national coverage unless you are on a national stage. We are getting better (UofL games, etc). We arnt the no name school anymore!

    Thanks Bullman. The song in question really isnt like any of those other songs. If anything.. call into question the "Michigan" song we play (thankfully we didn't play it at the Michigan B-ball game). We hope to create more traditions and help better the atmosphere at games. I look foward to more ideas! Thanks!

    I did foward the addition to #8 (vocal part) to the band's leadership and staff, we shall see how it goes over. We try to add words into things all the time, its just hard getting to vocals out to the fans. We need to work on that part. Some vocal parts can be found on the band web site at http://band.arts.usf.edu/standsspirit.htm. I want to add song clips to this page, as soon as that darn CD comes out!

    Thanks for getting back on track. As much as Rush is a fav for me... I need opinions, ideas, and proposals! We have been working hard on getting the crowd involved, as this is a large part of why we are at games anyway! It's easier to hear 250 to 300 bandsmen than 15 cheerleaders in Ray Jay Anyway, I'll check both theads for good ideas. The director already got a huge list of requests from band members, but I figured 600 or so more people thinking about it wouldn't hurt! Thanks for the effort!

    Well, since Rush seems to be a fav with the alumni... I'll mention it, gezzz.... Anyway, continue to post SONG PROPOSALS or ideas... as thats why I asked your opinion. Either this thead or the new one that the other members started, I'll check both.

    Yeah, the pep band is on stand-by... two free trips in the spring would be nice... since the men didn't give us a free trip anywhere

    Ok.... well... keep em coming... as many as you can... I will basicly just write down every song you suggest and add them to an already huge list that band members suggested. If anyone has the ability to create a new school cheer song... for b-ball or football... I'll help you show it to the director. Just let me know. We are always trying to find something... like the downs cheers (yes i know, our offense has enough trouble...), but creativity won't hurt.

I'm sure I've heard it before (last year agaisnt Memphis at the CUSA Mens B-Ball Tourny, packed house, sucked for us!) : if you have a clip of it, send it to me at bdschmid@mail.usf.edu Otherwise, its off to the WWW to find it... Tell me as many songs as you want! Otherwise, I'll suggest a string quartent to play by the pirate ship instead of a marching band... gezzz, i just want song names and composers -- suggestions on your personally made USF school song are always welcome

    Fine... any suggestions on slower songs... I assume mostly for Basketball games, right? You girls already have Kosha on our butts about playing too fast, but come on! Shake it faster, hehe. The (insert ::crappy: songs we have now sound horrible if we play them slow, so suggest something else. We have Hey Baby and maybe one other song thats kinda slow. (something the crowd can sing along with would help if its slow)
