http://www.wvgazette.com/section/Sports/2006051747 Hope we're not sitting idly by as this happens. We have gotten kids from both schools before and can't let WVU start horning in.
I do not think Texas would "wax" us in any year that was proposed. Pound us by 2 TDs at UT? Maybe. I see both sides of this argument and the correct answer won't be known until we see what else we get on the schedule. If we get a 1 for 1 with Baylor , I would prefer a 2 for 1 with Texas. If we get a 1 for 1 with Oklahoma/Colorado/Penn State -type program then I would be fine with it. The other side is that Woolard puts off any 2 for 1 on the theory that as we get better and stronger, that a 1 for 1 may be on the table in a couple years.
I thought there was some talk way back about Penn State asking for another game at happy valley which we declined and there allegedly being talks about a 1 and 1. Any information?
Well we play FIU, McNeese State, Uconn and Syracuse at home so we might get 2 out of those. We will not post a shutout on the road this year nor against Rutgers and Pitt.
Easy solution would be to allow penalty-free transfers for first year; maybe 2. This would ensure that kids did not make a mistake and would minimize recruiting by colleges against each other.
Every other team in the draft also had multiple picks and passed on Andre. His choice is swallow his pride and play for someone or give up football. He chose to fight. So did Priest Holmes. So have others who turned out to be good players. Hope Andre has the same success.
