    From the FTM News-Press "Quenton Washington might have set a record of his own. For the third consecutive game, the North senior defensive back/wideout pulled in two interceptions, one of which resulted in a 45-yard touchdown. Washington also had a 53-yard TD reception.     I agree. However, for him to say the coaches had no confidence in him was flat out wrong. He messed up with his grades and off field issues.

    ET, How did the crowd sound at the end when UCF was driving? I thought we were making a ton of noise.

    I do not take any of the next 3 games as automatic wins. Winning any of them will require a grade A effort.

    Well we are beating the bad teams on our schedule more convincingly than at the beginning of the year. The team is playing better. If we win our next 3 (UC, Pitt and Syracuse) and are competitive with UL and WVU we should begin getting some respect.

    "They've got a good quarterback now," he said. "I'm not holding any grudges. I just don't think they had any confidence in me as a quarterback." He was named the starter before spring practice. CJL and Rod were out trying to figure out how to use him like Vince Young. How is that not confidence in him.

    The DL is getting better, but the LBs have had more linemen on them than last year.

    I meant at this point in the program's development. Unless the kids are absolute blue-chippers having true freshmen start is an indication of lack of depth. We do not have any blue-chippers. MG is a redshirt freshman, the extra year I think helps most freshmen. Also, our lack of depth in the QB department was apparent.

    "The Bearcats do have some recent history with letdowns against normally lesser teams having only beaten a bad Akron team by six after an emotional win over rival Miami (OH). " Ummm ok. We won last year, they won the year before with Guidliani (sp?) as their QB. We are 2-1 against them.

    Nate had a quad injury. I am glad that even a very talented freshman cannot break the starting lineup from the get-go.

    I thought Jerome Murphy was getting moved to Safety? Remember him not being thrilled about moving from CB.

    I will be there with 5 others. Wife got her Master's at FAU.

    Frank Harry quit. Homesick was the given reason. Leavitt said he would have a scholarship if he wanted it. I doubt we see him again.

    You will also have Jeremiah Warren, Fonua and Dixon in the mix at DT. Peguese at DE also. Robinson needs to bulk up, but he's doing fine for a FR.

    Aston Samuels. You cannot run for 1500 yards at Belle Glade and not have ability.

    Pat White has Steve Slaton. Grothe had . . . . Well he he has Ricky now.

    You think a shutdown defense allows 3 TDs? If we get 3 TDs we win. The most points we have allowed all year is 22 against a good Rutgers team. The biggest concern for us is our inconsistent road play from the offense.

    I was critical of Taurus dropping balls in the spring game. Glad he has proved me wrong with his play this year. Him and Marcus Edwards are a good pair of sophomore receivers.

    Royal Tee golf course sucks. Any plans for UC sunday night?

    Nate Allen was on the Punt coverage team as well as KO return. Remember him being in the middle of the KO first line instead of Moffitt. I wondered why he was playing if all he was doing was on coverage teams.

    Why attack Pat? Good captain, good team player but not a throwing D-1 QB. Leave it at that.

    Sabbath Joseph and Peguese look ready to play.

    I would agree. I agree that there is no LB who is currently better than Nicholas. However, that's like saying that there was no LB better on the roster than Kawika when he and Nicholas were on the same roster. In 3 years we could be talking about Sabbath Joseph, LeBrandon Glover or Alonzo McQueen. They are not now better, but if developed properly could be better.

    Yes Rod does look better. UCF game- first TD was a nice playcall allowing Marcus Edwards to catch the ball with their slow LBs trailing. There have been others as well. However, having MG makes up for a lot of shortfalls.
