  1. USF leads the all time series 9-5 (7-5 in conference) and have won 5 in a row. USF has played UConn more than any other opponent other than Cincinnati which it has also played 14 times to date. USF-UConn since we became conference mates. Words cannot describe the ugliness of this series. Arguably 2009 was the only entertaining game for people not fans of either team. 2000 - We beat the Huskies in Connecticut 21-13. This was UConn's transitional year from 1-AA to 1-A and was USF's 1st win against a 1-A opponent. 2001- We crush the huskies 40-21 in the return trip to Tampa. 2005 - We lose 15-10. The infamous voodoo 5 game. 2006 - We beat UConn 38-16. Never in doubt. 2007- We lose 22-15, a week after the Rutgers' "illegal forward propulsion call", as we throw a pick in the endzone and have a turnover returned for a touchdown 2008- We beat UConn 17-13 in an ugly game 2009- We lose 29-27 in the snow on a last second field goal by UConn 2010 - We lose 19-16 on a last second field goal where UConn does not score an offensive touchdown. They go to the Fiesta Bowl. 2011- We lose 16-10 where UConn does not score an offensive touchdown 2012- We beat UConn 13-6. BJD's career ends at USF with an injury. 3d Game in a row against us that UConn offense doesn't score. 2013- We beat Uconn 13-10. We repay Uconn by winning without scoring an offensive touchdown. 2014- We beat Uconn 17-14 in a monsoon. 2015- We beat UConn 28-20. This was the game right after the Syracuse game where xCWT let the offense loose. 2016- We beat UConn 42-27 despite losing the turnover battle with 4 turnovers to Uconn's 0. This game also gave us this ridiculous Q run at 0:27
  2. I thought Q's week 1 mechanics were pretty good. But for 5 drops he has a monster game. Do not recall the receivers winning any 50-50 passes or bailing Q out. Week 2 was a little rougher. Most of the passes were high. May have been the rain, ball was wet, whatever. MVS bailed him out on the TD pass and McCants won a 50-50 ball.
  3. Over 20 yards? Off the top of my head- SJSU- TD to Alaka; Wilcox dropped 2; 1 off of MVS facemask Stonybrook- TD to McCants; McCants dropped 1
  4. Successfully attacking the middle with the run requires attacking the edges and also deep. Simply running it into the line isn't ever going to do any good. Not when our O line gets zero push.
  5. Job 1 was adding the water fountains.
  6. I doubt there's any cost saving measures. It might make for interesting field conditions for the Thursday game against temple which is on the 21st.
  7. So I linked the stadium map above. They are coming out through the tunnel next to the visiting fans? Makes no sense to me.
  8. Just realized that our Thursday game against Illinois is the first of 3 games at Rayjay that weekend. FAMU hosts Tennessee State on Saturday. Bucs host Bears on Sunday. Might make a good weekend for anyone able to make all 3 games. Hopefully a long weekend for the visitors from Illinois.
  9. Does that mean both teams are coming out of the same tunnel?
  10. Maybe he's fair. However, he's passed for over 300 yards against us the last two seasons.
  11. UConn got better when they put Shirrefs in at QB. I expect that is who they will start next week. MEaning I doubt they will be as bad as they were the first 30 minutes yesterday when they play us.
  12. For the really old fans, Alexander Hamilton to Aaron burr....
  13. I look forward to this inane thread every week for the rest of the season. Not happening.
  14. I thought the room functioned well. It took me a few minutes after clicking "chat room" to find the tab on my ipad to actually get in the chat room.
  15. That play has been all over twitter and social media. McCants flat out hustles to make the second block. Also, very smart play. He doesn't make a beeline for the defender and make a block in the back. He runs ahead and loops into him so he's at the side or just in front. Beautiful. Also, McCants blew up a DT for Memphis last year too. Guy does not mind mixing it up.
  16. The second Wicox drop was a great pass into a tight window. Best throw Q has ever thrown in a live game maybe.
  17. We win out we play in the Peach Bowl. We lose a game but win the conference then the rankings matter to get to the peach/cotton bowl. We're not making the playoffs so strength of schedule doesn't matter.
  18. I'm only nervous r if Q isn't playing. Doesn't mean we will win all of them but simply that the way he protects the ball and leads the team gives us an advantage every game.
  19. Most of you guys aren't taking USF football seriously enough. And I can hear my father asking, "why didn't you get a hundred like that guy?"
  20. Kiffin isn't bringing in this level of baggage to still be there in 2020. These are win now at all costs moves.
  21. I had not as of this morning. Sent an email to my main man John Lewis. John advised that since I moved locations that the tickets had been sent to USF for verification of the seats and not sent directly from the vendor. I just got an email that mine are on the way. If you made changes then you may be in the same situation. In any event simply shoot your rep an email and they are usually great at responding. Or you can log into your account and start up a chat with someone with athletics that can answer your question.
