  1. It wouldn't surprise me to see a FR lineman or DB. Someone good can step into those positions, even FR. However, seems like Coach is building for long term (the right way), so necessity will dictate whether he has the time to hold a good FR out.
  2. Wow. Didn't know there was a question about it. Well, have to trust Coach.
  3. Can't wait to walk into a stadium with you, ET. Although, you will have to slow down for me!
  4. I hope you all have a meaningful and peaceful holiday season. We represent a variety of beliefs but share a common passion. I am proud of my team, my fans, and those I've posted with for all these years. Enjoy!
  5. The IPF was an investment that was necessary, and it was no small thing investment-wise. It will increase our chances of winning and therefore conference realignment. Where we play will not. Look, I love the idea that we will play on campus and students will be able to walk to the game. I will be proud and I contributed to it. And, honestly, and I'm not trying to set up a false dichotomy, but winning is light years ahead of an OCS in terms of importance for conference realignment, if an OCS is even a criterion for realignment and no one has been able to prove it is. OCS - desirable, but not sufficient Winning - sufficient The slowest guy on a track team looks around and thinks, "Man, these guys have their own brand new expensive track shoes and I'm trying to compete with borrowed shoes. If I had their shoes I could beat them and a better school will want me to run for them!" But he is still the slowest guy on the team and the shoes never had anything to do with it and no one is recruiting him even with his brand new shoes. Winning = needs OCS = wants
  6. Guys, why are we thinking that we will lose to B-C and/or SMiss? I understand the vagaries of playing a season, but I'm scratching my head on those two called losses.
  7. Also, it was for his players who were playing their last game as a Bull after winning four games in their USF careers. He gave them the best gift and memory that he could. He played the depth players and let them make memories and brags, too. Class act.
  8. I am so good at this that I had us winning only three games this year. That being said, I'll venture a ten to nine win season next year (being ranked at the end of the season). We have the coach, QB, WRs and our defense has shown that it can rise to the occasion. Coach is building a strong foundation with HS recruits, so I would say that the year after will go down in the history books for USF.
  9. Now, at least, when coach says "act like you've been here before", they'll know what that means. This team has "been there" now.
  10. Good rundown, Owen. I met my wife at Oswego St. back in the seventies. Love that area of the state.
  11. Lol. You don't know how many times I've deleted gifs like that after inserting them. I try to respect the fact that not all people see it as medicine. But - Party on, Garth!
  12. I have been waiting years to buy a system so I could play NCAA football when it comes back. It's all I ever played on my PS2 and XBOX. Now I am so old that I don't know what to buy. But, yes, if I can figure out what to get I will get it.
  13. Things may have changed since I lived up there (color TV, gps, microwaves, etc.) but the NE is not into college sports (except maybe BB) like here in the South. If they travel well, I would be pleasantly surprised.
  14. I think we need to put our ring on a different finger or something. As soon as mine went on I lost 40 IQ points.
  15. My wife likes it. She says I would have made the perfect Shultz since I have been practicing my lines for 46 years.
  16. Our reader: We should reflect on the history of Syracuse's nickname - The Daily Orange DAILYORANGE.COM Our reader imagines if Syracuse University and The Onondaga Nation collectively influenced Syracuse's nickname. Continue reading → In 1931, based on a campus connection with the Onondaga Nation, Syracuse University adopted the Orangemen nickname and Saltine Warrior logo. In the 1950s the Lambda Chi Alpha fraternity added a human Indian mascot to the mix. That scenario lasted until the 1970s when concerns were first raised about the manner in which the Onondagan culture was being (mis)represented by the logo and mascot. In 1978 a pow wow between the Onondagans, the fraternity and the university resulted in the termination of the logo and the mascot. The nickname lived on until 2005 when it was officially shortened to just “Orange.” So, Orange must refer to the skin color of the native population in NY history.
  17. Well, like they say, if you've seen one you've seen them both
