  1. I agree w/ OCS statement. I think that it would make an instant impact with students. I'm not sure if that would help with alumni and area residents. I'm an out of town bull and when I asked friends about the game, although many went, some watched it on tv because it was "too hot." One other observation as I now only travel for a few games - As much as I enjoy drinking a beer or 5 at the game, that honestly keeps people out of their seats.
  2. This after victory. Pregame or in-game needs to be something simple, so larger group can follow and get things trending.
  3. P6 doesn't equal the playing field revenue wise. No one can truly say they wouldn't want Oklahoma, Texas, or any of the Big 12 teams on the schedule. It would draw bigger crowds, help grow the fanbase, draw recruits, and regular national exposure. I don't dislike the AAC and each of the teams bring something to the table, but if we can get into the Big12 we go and don't look back. We stack our chips, improve facilities, and prepare ourselves for when realignment happens again.
  4. San Diego St ranked, North Dakota State getting points for 27th, Maryland receiving votes too. just win and we control our destiny
  5. I'd rather be in the big 12 for the 5-7 years until Texas and Oklahoma leave. More money and exposure. We'd be on much better footing for next round of realignment if we manage things right
  6. As someone flying in noon is great. Fly in Friday have a few beverages with friends in town, wake up Saturday to tailgate, watch the Bulls beat down the Noles, take a nap because I'm old, then go out at night. Rinse and repeat for Bucs/Rams Sunday.
  7. I still think it's funny that the AP broke story of USF pitch, while the local folks were standing around with holding their ****
  8. To me having Vinik there is more important than Dungy. That's a big win just to have him onboard.
  9. Joey Knight will post breaking news about USF to Big 12 or it someone will post about how awful he is.
  10. Really only one way to make Joey and he rest of the times dbags shut up... We gotta show up. I wish we had a supportive media in town, but too many writers with little else in their lives to be positive. Gangsters and their Twitter fingers
  11. How much should UNC get punished losing a close one, basically on the road, to your #11 UGA? They should be somewhere in your top 25-30.
  12. They have a soflo hoodie, hat, and baseball jersey on fanatics.com. In general, decent stuff on there.
  13. I'm fairly certain most would agree that Joey and the Times are or can be assclowns at times. However, they view the product the same as the community and publish/print what draws readers. I would hope they would be better partners and try to promote the product as it helps them. I think USF needs to find ways to get creative and leverage the partnership. If we can't rely on them to push it, then we should.
  14. This obviously has no place on a rumor and speculation thread, but how do we get the community to show up? Being out of town I get to one or two games a year, but would contribute to helping get people in seats. I understand that if you give people free or highly tickets you build behavior that leads to them expecting it and not purchasing at full price, but being such a young program we have to continue to build a base.
  15. Just win ... 3 games is an eternity before September 24. Also FSU doesn't have a bunch cupcakes before us, could drop a game as well with Ole Miss and Louisville.
  16. Would you prefer it was a bus station bathroom? I'm not saying I stand for it, just saying they do - would you sit in an airport bathroom? If you can't take a poor low brow joke, you should probably never look on the interweb again. Anything we say on here is the equivalent of talking about someone's mom. No one really wishes ill on him or anyone else, well most don't as I saw someone who wished AIDS upon McMurphy. oh and ... Yo momma's so fat, that when she fell, no one was laughing but the ground was cracking up. good night joey
  17. Stupid not for USF to proof, dumb not to watermark draft, and I still think they should have "leaked" that this was a draft and pre final edit. Either way all of the writers in Tampa are assclowns. Fennelly and JK will likely get caught in an airport men's room together in the future at which point we will have the last laugh.
  18. He's got good points. Also wish we had someone use their platform to support USF as a regional asset.
  19. I live in ATL and I haven't seen much of anything relating to UCF or ECU. Regarding UCF considering their enrollment size and that they had a 17 year head start in football it wouldn't shock me if their donor base is slightly larger at this point than USF. There are a lot of USF alumni that went to a school with no football and built allegiance elsewhere (even 1aa does help). That group based on age represents more established earners. As USFs fan base ages so will it's donors. The fan base did what it could, but honestly was not ready for "p5/bcs" when we got the call to the Big East. What it did was speed up the process, but the base wasn't there. If the Big 12 comes, the base is closer to ready donors like myself (early 30) are more capable to donate and others start getting to that stage.
  20. I hope this game with a packet or presentation. You'd assume yes. Also a duffle bag full of cash. Also if we are throwing in unlimited berns, I'll pitch in for lap dances.
  21. Maybe it's just me. I'm just curious how Memphis, who aside from last year has been irrelevant in football, is suddenly this hot commodity? Granted they field a competitive basketball team, not as good as calapari had, but good. What else do they bring to the table? Academically they are sub-par, not a top media market, and Olympic sports are average (unless I missed something). Is this solely about Fed-Ex money? Seems a bit off to me.
  22. I just feel good beat writers like Greg seem more engaged. Greg had fan chats, interviews with recruiting and other experts, etc. Knight does the job and that's it, which I guess is fine. I've even seen Greg engage other writers on Twitter about factual big 12 qualifications for USF. Where's Joey on that? If I missed it, my bad and my apologies. Like any job/career it is what you make of it, and right now Joey works a few hrs per week.
  23. His pic looks like he crunching one out on the can. If the Times cared about USF they'd realize he's marginal at best. I believe he was on the Gators beat for Trib before he moved to the Times. Greg is exceptional for a beat writer, for any team. If you follow him with the Bucs, he's phenomenal. We got spoiled - they wined and dined us with steak and lobster, but decided that Spam was adequate for the long haul.
