  1. His offer from holtz was honored. Coach T couldn't have evaluated that quick.
  2. Auburn cheated, it's coming out now. Also couldn't win without Cam, Fairley, and Dyer. Zook made a Iilinois a joke, we don't have the fan base or capital to withstand that for a few years. We need to get this right the second time and get back on track.
  3. The kid is 17 and the coach he was committed to play for just got fired and it's likely the coach(es) that recruited him will be gone too. He had committed to being a student athlete at USF and today we threw a monkey wrench in part of his equation. I don't blame him for stepping back. We did the easy part and fired a losing coach (albeit classy/nice guy), now the hard part is hiring the right replacement. Mic we get part 2 right, kids like Woulard will reconsider and be pumped to be the start of a bright future. Don't call him a douche, he's a KID who is making a HUGE decision that effects HIS LIFE. Anyone that criticizes this KID for his decision is a DOUCHE not him.
  4. Wasn't the kd who had int in endsone committed to us last year then Left for Miami
  5. He's a kid. If any of us were him and not blinded by our feelings for USF, we'd all take our visits. You get 5 free trips to help you determine where you are going to get a free education and spend the next 4-5 years of your life. Even if he is committed 100%, any father/friend would advise him to get the experiences. I hope he stays committed and actually think he will, but I also hope he has a good time. If we all want to be big time, this happens - kids take their visits for the most part. We need to continue to support the university and this kid. If he comes we can build around him. Everything I've heard, seen, or read from him shows that he's a mature young man. I hope he has fun, gets laid, and realizes theres much more of that here and the grass can be plenty green despite the poor season. Go Bulls!
  6. good to hear. Hope you're right. Would love to have him in G&G pretty sure that said decommitting, not so good
  7. Our facilities are somewhere in the upper middle of BCS schools in general and top 3 or 4 or so in conference. Louisville has tremendous facilities (by far the best in our conference and in the top 15-20%% nationally) and a budget that probably more than double ours.
  8. Egbunu ranked 141 in rivals top 150 http://rivals.yahoo.com/ncaa/basketball/recruiting/rankings/rank-2752
  9. If he's talented enough why not. I wouldnt say it would be difficult to crack lineup. Think rs fresh in 2014. Eveld isn't exactly a superstar at this point and we have only a spring game to judge floyd. Cameron has a ton of potential but so did carlton hill. Not to mention as we saw with Grothe going down, you are always one play away from injury in this game. Great to have taken waiting to take over the reins
  10. I wouldn't say light years. They still provide a gameday experience that is impressive, a very nice campus, etc and can pitch to recruits that they can help bring them back to a championship. To us USF seems to be the obvious choice, but it is difficult to be completely impartial.
  11. Why do we care? This would be his 3rd stop. He's not going to be productive. Let him get an education and go to work. If he wants to play football he needs to look at the lower levels. We don't need to get worked up over nothing.
  12. Not to be rude but who cares. Good luck to him- I hope he gets his degree and is successful, but even if he could play he wouldn't have an impact. He would be far removed from playing and enter a position where we have a lot of players on scholarship. Give the scholarship to a high school kid. Even if he walked on it's doubtful he'd see the field anyway
  13. the girlfriend thing is overblown. These kids are 18-20. How many gf's did you have in college. I would have never based my decision on a gf. Its college. If I was a football player I would have taken a shot at Wilt Chamberlins record (not points in a game).
  14. This is good news, but 1.3 million couldn't make a dent in rennovating the claw. It costs a bit more than that to rennovate a golf course, even just a simple rennovation would exceed that.
  15. He's a legacy, but theres a difference. Chickillo's father (1979-82) and grandfather (1950-52) played at UM. He grew up a UM fan and from many articles I read said thats where he's wanted to go since he was a kid. With Grady, his parents went to USF, but there is no long time Football connection. I know its similar, but there is a difference. They probably used to root for different teams and he probably grew up rooting for other teams at least until we came around, and even then we weren't on the same level we are now. He's a bright kid, he'll make a decision thats best for him and his family. I hope its USF, but wherever he decides he'll be successful on and off the field.
  16. Probably won't work. I would do something simple. Try campusfundraiser.com (this is not an ad, I do not work for them). I did it as an undergrad a few times and raised 700-1500 a shot. Pretty easy, just takes a team effort. Also, contact the devil rays, lightning, and Bucs (levy restaurants) they all offer fundraising opportunities through concessions, etc.
  17. they are also interested in Willis McGahee via trade with the Bills. I wish the best for Andre and hope he gets his chance in the NFL.
  18. Courtesy: USF Release: 11/27/2006 http://sports.espn.go.com/espn/contests/pontiac/index Vote for the Pontiac Game Changing Performance of week 13. Pontiac, the official performance machines of the NCAA ®. Just for voting, you become eligible to enter for a chance to win a $5,000 scholarship for you or your family.
  19. There is a women's basketball game at 5:30pm vs. Stetson. Everyone should come out and watch Jessica Dickson break the USF women's basketball scoring record. If you don't have tickets they are only $7 for adults and $5 for kids.
  20. I'm not sure if it has been mentioned (too much reading), but Louisville barely beat Georgetown College a NAIA school they were down 81-80 in the 4th and wound up winning only 92-90. Lets take the game for what it is and that is an exhibition. We play buffalo (a pretty good team) next Monday lets come out and support the team. When December comes and were are at near full strength we'll see where we are, but lets not get down on our student athletes, lets support them and show them that no matter what we are behind them.
  21. Just had a segment on ESPN about the Chiefs and they had several players trying to bend a nail, then they showed various other talents (ripping a phone book, saying all the states in alphabetical order, etc). Kawikas talkent was touching his nose with his tongue. Not the best talent, but at least exposure. haha
  22. WE ARE DOWN BY 4K lets get this thing back up there.
  23. The atmosphere was really good. Better than any soccer match I've ever been to. There was a huge crowd 2100 +. I TIVO'd it and the announcer was going nuts. He gave us incredible props and promoted USF very well throughout the match.
