  2. You are very naive if you really believe that. The plain truth is that not everybody gets a fair chance to prove how good they are. How do you know how good somebody is if they don't play in an actual game? You don't. There is a big difference between practice and a game, and with such a short time for players it's even hard to make a mark in practice if you aren't given a good chance. There are countless players who were passed on by one or more teams only to star at another. I'm sure there are guys who could of been pro bowlers who never even made a team for whatever reason.
  3. The only thing wrong with PBS is it's good for this year then what? ET already named the defense countless times with his calls to email people. STAMPEDE!
  4. No, I think you guys from UCF take that title. We may come in a close second, though.
  5. Doesn't the current donor requirement stay with the seat as long as you have them? There wouldn't need to be any exodus, the new people would just have to pay more to sit in that section than the people who were already there before the increase in donation amount. scott
  6. Great news for Andre. I have never liked the Bears but will cheer for them now, and I hope Andre does well.
  7. Too green, huh? That's funny because from what I can see green is the Glazers' favorite color.
  8. I want to advertise USF, not the ugly swoosh that shares billing. If anything that swoosh should be on the back of the hat
  9. I don't know, I sort of like the bee genus. Apis the bee genus. Yeah, that's it. You sho is a smart one, Apis.
  10. It's sad to say but this year's home schedule isn't as attractive as last year's, and I'm guessing we'll average 25K for the season. Of course if the town finally starts to catch Bull Fever, we could average in the 40s.
  11. UF is a great school and is still the flagship university in the state of Florida. As our own president will tell you, we are still striving to reach that level of research, academic, and athletic prowess. I hope we will but there are no guarantees. As for the fans getting married, I don't have any interest in that and don't really care; and the Sheriff doesn't have apathy towards UF and gators - he has a deeply ingrained inferiority complex that he outwardly transfers into anger and hatred to all things orange and blue, but that's a different issue.
  12. Congratulations ladies. You have carried the USF torch well.
  13. It sounds like JR was working his tail off and has solid determination. That's not a miracle, it's a USF Bull who refuses to give up. Good luck, JR. We are all pulling for you to make a come back. GO BULLS!
  14. I was in Toronto some years ago and it was a very clean, vibrant city. I remember you could walk downtown under ground in a mall type atmosphere, out of the cold, between downtown businesses and even across the street, so the weather shouldn't be a factor there. The game will be played in an enclosed stadium, so the cold won't matter much there, either. I think it would be a great game to go to for USF, especially if you have kids who have never even seen snow.
  15. Well, I hope he gets a chance to compete for a job. I would have liked to see him go to Dallas or maybe Denver.
  16. Hey, Toronto is a great city and there are usually cheap flights into Buffalo (where you would have to rent a car). It wouldn't be so bad.
  17. And how can we make a tradition with all the uniform changing we are doing? In my opinion, those U of Miami or Denver Bronco style uniforms just plain suck. I hope we don't go that route. If we do go Nike, at least Michigan has retained most of their classy look. You mean to tell me that kids don't think the Penn State blue, Bama Red, Notre Dame Blue, or even the Silver and Black NFL Raiders jerseys are cool? And who cares about what kids think about fashion anyway? Put a little bit of mud, some grass stains, and some blood on the thing and let's win some football games.
  18. How about a breathalizer at the entrance gate. When you are going into the stadium you blow into the tube. If you are above the limit it tazers you.
  19. hmm. you are the admitted liar, sound like quite an sob, ramble on ad infinitum with cliches and tiresome comments, and quite frankly have become somewhat cartoonish. Are you sure you weren't confusing yourself with CJL when you wrote the above quoted text?
  20. Not only that, but also from the same article... "No one liked the 2005 West Virginia class, but it could be argued that no freshmen were more valuable than QB Pat White and RB Steve Slaton." so we should quit worrying about the star ratings.
  21. It sounds like the kid has a good head on his shoulders. You can't fault somebody for wanting a Duke education. Best wishes for him.
