  1. Unless the BE gets a bowl deal with one of the 6 bowls, those open slots will always be taken by a #2 or #3 from the SEC/B1G/PAC/XII with the BE shut out of the 6 major bowls. Our only chance at a major bowl deal is to team up with ND as an option if ranked higher than the BE champion.
  2. The ACC has now signed a 12 year agreement to send it's conference champion to the Orange Bowl. Might the OB take the BE champion or ND, whoever is ranked higher? Maybe just a 5 year agreement would do it? The BE has to make some bowl move to remain somewhat relevant.
  3. Not a bad thing because we rarely have to travel out of state so it makes sense we are lower than others. Rutgers is only first because of all those trips back and forth to Florida.
  4. I guess I'm okay with it, but isn't it very unusual to play an OOC team twice (home and away) in the same season? Have any other schools ever done this?
  5. Anyone participate in a pre-sale for this yet? Will there be a pre-sale for Bulls Club or season ticket holders? I haven't heard anything and yet there are already specific seats/tickets for the concert listed at StubHub.
  6. That's a great idea, but our schedule is full for 2013 with 7 home games. Only way to make that work and not lose a home game is to bail on Michigan State - unlikely.
  7. I'm around 2,600 and I just got my email today for June 26th.
  8. Won't know about going tomorrow until just before. Will there be walk up tickets available tomorrow?
  9. Hmmmm, if this is truly to be a "non-geographic" model then there is no east or west division to be in. They will come up with some other division names, but I wouldn't be so sure that they don't just declare one cross-division geographic/rival game with each team in the cross-division game in separate divisions. Could be.... USF - UCF UL - UC UConn - Rutgers BSU - SDSU SMU - Houston Temple - Memphis All the teams on the left in one division and the right in the other. This would protect rivals and geographic travel partners every year (except for Temple-Memphis which ended up together by default).
  10. Just saw this on the BE board - mods delete please.
  11. Bill Stewart dies of heart attack while golfing. I must say I thought he was a lot older than 59. http://cfn.scout.com/2/1188326.html
  12. YES, YES and YES. We fight to bring back Pitt and Syracuse AND invite FSU and Georgia Tech. Who knows we may end up with more tv revenue than the Big12 (definitely more than the ACC). Marinatto would never have thought this way or suggest it to the Presidents and he always wanted to act in the open. Time to get aggresive and start talking to these types of schools.
  13. Just got back from the open house. Building is unreal. Anywhere in the first level is going to be great seating. Weird to see UCF/UH/Temple/SMU/Memphis banners already hung. And John Lewis is the man!
  14. This all looks fantastic - really excited about checking it out and basketball season this year. I agree with whoever brought up the concern about ticket window flow before an event. The area outside of the windows at the main box office looks a bit cramped and I just envision people piling up there and standing on the grass and landscaping if they don't have a queuing system. I hated waiting in line at the old box office as I always got in the wrong line. I really like the Disney/bank type system they use at the Trop.
  15. Supposed to be done by the end of April and the first event is to be Spring Graduation. Wow that would be great if that happens, however still looks like a lot of work to be done. Thanks. I agree it looks like a lot is left to do. Graduation is May 4th and 5th. What's the fallback plan? The Forum is booked both days. Would they chance going to the amphitheater that time of year? There is really nowhere else large enough that is covered or indoor unless they would go to Lakeland.
  16. Cool that CJL got the Horns in the picture without Marve doing the miami U hands thing.
  17. Thursday 7pm in Charlottesville http://www.gousfbulls.com/ViewArticle.dbml?DB_OEM_ID=7700&ATCLID=829716
  18. Great game - very exciting. The few fans and students that were there got into it big time. These girls deserve better.
  19. can kids get in for the student rate? I'm bringing 3 kids and $44 is a bit much
  20. According to the chart that I have Section 133 = $250 (Herd) , Section 233 = $500 (Varsity) but it's not this years revision.  Sections 107, 114, 133, 238 are the only $250 Donor sections shown.  114 is still a $250 section and last year there were plenty of seats available for season purchase. We always get about 1/4 of the section visiting fans who bought their tickets on ticketmaster.
  21. OR put 96 teams in the tournament without the NIT.  Top 32 seeds would get a first round bye.
  22. Get rid of the NIT - put 128 teams in the same tournament and guarantee Madison Square Garden the 4 most eastern teams in the elite eight every year.
  23. Will the women be on Catch47 again tomorrow?
  24. These live stats are incredible. They change immediately after the pitch. Never saw it so "live" with football or basketball gametracker.
