    Never heard of anyone doing this before, but it really is smart to look good on TV. I just hope they don't use the UAB tarps to cover the end zone seats, but I doubt ESPN goes to the expense to make "Bowl" tarps - hopefully they'll somehow cover that goofy looking dragon.

    I hope USF is delivering a green T-shirt with each ticket we are donating to a local charity so at least those kids show up in green. We must have some green Dodge shirts left somewhere from the basketball games over the past few years.

    Could be worse...Western Michigan reports selling less than 2,000 for the International Bowl. I doubt Cincy is over 3,000. How many people in Toronto do you think will buy a ticket to see 2 low to mid-level american college teams play football? I doubt there are over 8,000 butts in seats for that one.

    Hard to believe the local papa johns franchise owner has not jumped on this. They should be "sponsoring" the send off - free publicity for them.

    The sample video looks really grainy on my computer while have no problems with other sites' video. Should I expect a better picture if I sign up for the real thing?

    I asked that mine be given to 2 USF students. Not that I'm against local charities, but I would first like to have as many students as possible in the USF sections.

    Looks like A is the front row and then it is numbered 1 - 65 or 70 in the main bowl. I saw the tickets on sale at gousfbulls.com are now in the 57th and 58th rows so hopefully that means the first 57 rows of our sections are full.

    This website is just awful.  Here is the page for the link "Game Day Info" - nothing is listed except the game itself.  From previous posts, I know they plan at least some tailgate event that morning, but it cannot be found at the site.  What a joke - the City of Birmingham must be livid with ESPN Regional botching this so badly. http://www.papajohnsbowl.com/info/

    Guys, don't worry - if you get a Ticketmaster type confirmation it is credited to the Bulls. You can't buy tickets to the bowl from Ticketmaster. The Bowl is using the UAB ticketing system for general public sales, NOT Ticketmaster. Just don't go to the Bowl website and click on buy online - you will be sent to the UAB ticketing system and then we definitely will not get credit. I too would like to understand how you buy the tickets for donation to students.

    I hope the donated tickets are first offered to students as part of some travel package, then offered to local charities.

    ND is guaranteed a bcs spot if they finish in the top 8. A bcs bowl can invite them if they are in the top 12.

    Yes - I think they took everyone by surprise.  Just before the national anthem they walked out to center court, lined up and faced the side student section and bowed!  It was bizarre.

    I believe most Ohio State band members are on scholarship as they have a band alumni association, foundation etc. that raises LOTS of money. They also practice like a zillion hours per week as if it was a full time job. They did get 100 year head start on us.

    Tickets are the same prices through USF and you will sit with other Bulls and we get "credit" for the sale. If you buy your tickets elsewhere, you are not counted as a USF sale.

    Received a post card today from athletics saying the Bulls are bowl eligible and identifying the 5 possible bowls with dates, times and ticket prices. Glad to see this kind of marketing.
