Man this is exactly how I feel. I went to my first basketball game in 1976 and have never looked back. The last year and a half my family laughs at me when I say "they pulled my heart out again" so I, too, have the callouses. Just got back from Indiana and it was the saddest road trip I was ever on. The hard core fans there I've seen at away games for the last 10 years were simply drained. It was eerily quiet in the USF section - very, very strange to see these core travelers sitting on their hands. It was cold, but trust me that wasn't why they were sitting on their hands. In the 3rd quarter, only one other person was clapping on Cardinal 3rd downs. So we are definitely at a crossroads. Are we at the day where hard core supporters have given up on this staff (and team)? I fear next week. If FSU hangs 20 on us in the first quarter, it will basically become a Noles home game without the marching band. We'll see.

the sound on the second level. Concert last night was great and the dome looks fantastic. It's very comfortable and has a "big league" feel to it. We sat at first in the 200 level and the sound was horrendous. It was way too loud which caused it to bounce all around off of the steel panels in the ceiling and the concrete up top. If you didn't know the words, you would not have been able to understand them. Everyone around me was talking about it saying they thought that was going to be corrected in time for this concert. About halfway through we moved down to the club area and wandered the first level and the sound was almost perfect. The concert sound guys have to figure out how to make it work for the 200 and 300 levels. Otherwise a great night - can't wait for B-ball.

Probably would have only been a night game if we both were 4-0. My guess is 3:30 - hopefully not a nooner.

Glad this thread has started as I can't even look at all the ones about last night's debacle. Anyhow, went on my account just now and the extra FSU tickets are now listed under the FSU game - assigned 4 seats in my section so very happy. Called USF and they said to just print them out as print at home tickets.

Don't worry about the past. If we can just not **** the bed again on Thursday and assuming we take care of Ball State, the FSU game will be ULTRA ELECTRIC especially if it's not at noon.

I ended up at the Beef's on campus and it turned out more than ok after reading the comments on here. By the middle of the 3rd quarter every seat was taken and of course it got pretty loud during the last 3 minutes. Followed a number of people straight to the soccer field.

I brought this up last Sunday in another thread for today's game. There are going to be a lot of people watching the end of the football game somewhere and wanting to get to the soccer game by kickoff. The dome would have been perfect - big screens, a/c, cold beer, stadium food and a 1 minute walk to the soccer stadium - what more could you ask for?

During the game Gilmore was hyping the UCF - Ohio State game and said that if UCF wins, they might be his BCS buster. To be a BCS buster, don't you have to actually be eligible to play in a bowl game?

1) Spending day daughter - golfing in the AM, watching UCF-OSU on tv at noon, watching Bulls somewhere near campus and then going to soccer game 2) Ball State - relatives in the area and probably Miami 3) About the same - 50/50 chance 4) Taking my then young son to the RAIN game - was that Texas State? He stood on a palm tree planter in the south endzone to watch the game and we got totally soaked, great fun and great memories 5) Tampa, been to Reno and would only go back to go to Tahoe
