I sit on the east side a couple of sections from the band (238) and they are still loud at that point.  The FIU band was heard but not very loud from my seats.  The trouble with putting the band in the south end zone is that it would be too close to the visitor's band (dueling banjoes anyone?).
He said he was heavily recruited by USF and UCF, but he liked us better. He thought we offered more opportunity for a qb and that our program was on the rise.
Ari, give me your real last name (or the first few letters), year of graduation and major and I will confirm if you are a graduate of USF. I promise I won't reveal your real name to anyone (there is no Hinkelberger listed). Prove 'em wrong!
Your cowboys played well, and gave us a scare, but they just got worn out - and- we found a QB who could pass.  Good luck the rest of the year!  Tried to spot you on the sidelines, but didn't see anyone that looked like your avatar!
Maybe the band should be in the south endzone then. Funny story, I went to a Bucs game in the 70's and bought tickets at the gate for the south endzone (in the old sombrero). When we got to our seats they were directly behind the sousaphone players of some band. No problem though, most of the endzone was vacant!
I think they are sousaphones, which are big tubas. I counted 13 of them last night. The band has moved closer to my section and they are louder this year. I love the band.
They play to the east side occasionally.  By the way, there are plenty (perhaps more)  bulls fans on the east side including me and the faculty of USF.  It's nice to have the band face us once in a while.  The corporate ticket sections on "home" side have a lot of vacant seats, which are embarrassing at times. I'm sure you have some very good players. As far as players in the NFL, you've been playing football for over 50 years. We've been playing for only 9 years, 5 as a 1A team.
