  1. You know who is making a killing with NIL? That one gymnastics chick at LSU. She has so many simps, aka lonely dudes, who fawn over her internet presences that they show up at LSU gymnastics events. LSU now has to pay for extra security, so she is probably costing LSU more money, especially for a sport that does not make money to begin with. USF should do that to boost NIL interest at USF. Recruit attractive young girls in whatever girls sports. Girls who are more interested in being social media influencers. They can set up their bikini websites and sell images to the drooling simps, and USF can say that we have a burgeoning NIL program.
  2. Our men's BB program has been in disarray longer than the football team. Maybe we should have hired the guy who did not have his bachelor's degree? I mean all they had to do was put a stipulation in his contract that he needed to complete it by a certain date. His old school hired him back and did that. It is too early to call gloom and doom on the new coach. I would give him some more time to get things straightened out.
  3. Impressive considering that the WUSF PBS station no longer exists, so this is a good outlet for USF students who want to get into media production.
  4. An OCS makes them a hell of a lot more money. At RJS the Bucs and the TSA have their hands out first before USF gets their share of the profits.
  5. Going Independent has to be the dumbest idea ever. If that is his plan, then he needs to share whatever he is smoking because that must be some good stuff. This is not the 1970's or 1980's where there were a large number of independent football programs. Everyone is in a conference now. That is the only way to get TV dollars and bowl game tie ins. How would USF do that if they were independent? Negotiate a deal with ESPN that would put us exclusively on ESPN+? What bowl game tie ins would USF get? How would this impact the other sports? It would destroy them because the American would kick USF out if we did not participate in football. Does he really think the Big East would invite us back for the non-football sports? Look how going independent destroyed UConn. They got all upset over their MBB and WBB playing in the American, so the sacrificed their football program to go back to the Big East. They even tried a second stint with a formerly successful head coach. That did not work out for them either. Army tried the independent route when they bailed from CUSA, and that did not work out for them either. They are coming back to a conference by joining the American. Not exactly a powerhouse addition to our conference, but it another example how it is foolish for any team not named Notre Dame to go independent. If Army cannot hack it as independent with all their history and national following, then what makes USF so special that they think they could do better.
  6. Well, if they want to get arrested, then go ahead and storm the field. RJS takes it seriously and will ban those people from attending future games.
  7. I like that he does not throw his players under the bus like Deion. He takes the blame for the team's loss. He knows that he does not have the talent on the team right now to play other teams at this level. These players might do better at a lower level or at lower-level conferences, but he has more class than Deion who told the existing players to get lost. How has that worked out for Deion? CAG has to recruit more of his guys, and we will see more success in the future. I hate losing but after 3 seasons of CJS and only 4 wins with only 1 against an FBS team, I am a little satisfied with 5 wins in one season under CAG. We still have the potential for 6 wins and bowl eligibility.
  8. UTSA football has only been around for 8 years. USF should have been thinking of an OCS when we were in our 8 to 10 years of existence. BTW, we barely make any revenue at RJS. No one makes any revenue at RJS, which is why the only events there are the Bucs and USF. There might be a random festival concert there now and then, but most tours will skip RJS and go to the Citrus Bowl because they know they will not make money at RJS. The Bucs have a sweetheart deal which means they get their cut before anyone else makes any profit. Sure, Taylor Swift has performed there several times, but she is an outlier, and she makes an insane amount of money from parents that want to be the "cool parents" and spend $1000 per ticket to please their kids.
  9. THIS Check your USF Season Ticket account. You should have a voucher for the STM giveaway.
  10. There were more hats given out than there were people at that game. That is what really pissed me off.
  11. Well San Antonio is in the Central Time Zone, so 9:00 pm EST makes sense for them since that is 8:00 pm for them.
  12. Their athletic boosters pay for this, not the students. The real question is how many times can they dip into that well before their athletics boosters say enough is enough? The do it big in Texas. Jimbo was "all hat, no cattle".
  13. It is about time we had a night game at home. I can finally break out the Rocky giveaway hat from many years ago.
  14. Spectrum is the worst. My sympathies. Those suggestions above are all good ones. I know Fubo and YouTubeTV both have apps for the Amazon Firestick. DirectTV probably has one too, but I have zero experience with that service.
  15. Temple is Bill Cosby's alma mater. Oh wait, the young Twitter/X crowd canceled Cosby. Never mind.
  16. What awful cable service do you have that offers ESPN but not ESPN2? Usually The Mouse (Disney) insists that the cable provider carry all of the ESPNs along with their Disney and ABC channels.
  17. I know but they are struggling big time in Big 12 games. Yesterday they had to do the Citronaut thing to turn things around. Maybe they will give Nitro the boot and use that mash up of an orange and the Great Gazoo going forward.
  18. I did some research and last season we were a regular resident of the ESPN Bottom 10. This season we were on the waiting list in the preseason, and we quickly fell out of contention of weekly humiliation. https://www.espn.com/search/_/type/articles/q/"Bottom 10" This week last year not only did ESPN mock Clemson; they mocked USF twice. Once where we are #1 in the bottom 10, but also in #5 where they are mocking Clemson and take a second shot at Jeff Scott. https://www.espn.com/college-football/story/_/id/34982685/college-football-bottom-10-clemson-joins-new-no-1 Naysayers abound but getting off the weekly "your team is horrible and is ripe for derision" list is a clear sign that USF is making positive progress.
  19. I would say Conference USA was pretty bad. Still griping about the implosion of the Big East? Well the administrations of all the schools left behind got caught with their pants down. Very similar to what just happened to the PAC-12. When shenanigans start going on when it is time for your conference to renegotiate a new TV deal, then that means certain schools want out and will self implode your conference to their benefit no matter who else gets screwed in the process.
  20. Just tell the fraternities and sororities that attending USF football games will give them credit towards their charitable contributions that they have to make for their respective chapters. You will see them show up in droves. Better than seeing them stand on street corners with donation buckets and looking like homeless people.
  21. Is anyone really a Papa Roach guy? They are part of that rap-hard rock genre. That type of music was a novelty when it first came out, but I am not sure if anyone really listens to it anymore.
  22. Conspiracy theory much? So why have the LA and San Francisco teams won championships in the NBA, NFL and MLB in the past 5 years? The PAC-10 was run by idiots, which is why it collapsed. The premier programs got out of Dodge and went to better conferences for more money. Maybe spend less time on echo chamber websites and spend less time watching echo chamber news programs.
  23. I would say the aggressive offensive play calling on 4th down deep in our own territory contributed to the loss. I am not sure what Golesh was thinking, but it took some guts to go for it instead of punting in those situations. The team was neck and neck with Memphis for most of the game, so Memphis was not exactly putting on a defensive clinic either.
