    The Big Ten is only seen as better than the old Big East BECAUSE of Ohio State and Michigan though. So you would think the coach of the major school in the conference would do well. Anyway, clearly you don't like him. Is it because of slap gate?

    Yeah, just about as much as Dino Babers should be fired for not bringing home that ACC championship to Syracuse.... not. Michigan hasn't won a championship in awhile either, I'm guessing you think they should fire Jim Harbaugh too?

    I doubt you can base that on anything other than feeling. He had a brand new football program only 4 years into a big time conference, and his 5th year he lost Grothe, but actually had a solidly recruited back up to still finish respectable with a win over FSU. Again, for the people who aren't satisfied with that, I hope they are happy, because they ruined the program. And for the record, Skip Holtz did great at ECU and is doing great at La Tech. So obviously it wasn't easy getting a brand new school to compete at the level Jim Leavitt had us at

    Don't forget the year that Matt Grothe tore his ACL was our best shot. Maybe we are having a whole different discussion if that doesn't happen.

    Considering our jumps in competition every few years and how young the program is, that is a very unrealistic expectation. If you told me Team A formed in 1997 and ascended all the way to one of the top leagues in the country and had the track record we did, I'd be shocked and wow'd. People who criticize him don't realize how hard that is to build a brand, and bring in recruits who don't even recognize you as a big name school yet. He put us on the map and did that. Asking for a Big East championship after what he was doing is being a spoiled baby. We can't afford a coach who accomplished what he did one or two speed bump years? it has to be every year that he improves?

    USF football doesn't deserve to go from Big East, only to be yanked to a lesser conference to suffer for eternity. We deserve to win this weak conference at least once.

    Just citing the records of CJL's teams is completely ignoring the context of how he built this program. I don't know how anybody expected Big East championships after just a few seasons of playing football. CJL is the best coach USF has ever had, followed by CWT. And yes, we should jump at the opportunity to rehire him if we were serious about winning, but I understand that won't happen.

    Exactly, and we cant really use the excuse that they are faster. Besides Ford, and Hoggins on defense, our team speed isn't as great as usual either.

    It was always sad how poor ESPN's coverage of G5 is. And now it's to the point of confusing us with UCF. They really suck, and I hope the AAC doesn't renew with ESPN. I know some people want the exposure ESPN offers, but to me, they just put out so much negative publicity for the conference that it isn't worth it.

    Yeah, even though I support UCF ooc, in conference I hope they lose every game. Plus, it's not even close to decided that they win the conference. There is very little chance they go through USF, Cincy, Temple and (if necessary) CCG vs Houston undefeated.

    This fan base is so confused on the UCF thing so let's break down cheering points. 1. We cheer for all AAC teams out of conference. Including UCF. It helps conference perception. 2. In conference, we currently want Cincinnati, Temple and UCF to lose as many games as possible. There should be no confusion. UCF beating Memphis does nothing to help USF. Memphis is a conference member.

    We do a ton of winning, but we never win the important games. Never have. This year is clear cut. Win vs Cincinnati and UCF. That's basically it. A loss vs Houston won't matter as much, as long as we win the games we need. Let's do that this year

    The speed, recruiting rankings, and standings are all measurables that say our players are better than theirs

    Idk how we aren't a 25 team considering how GT, Illinois and Elon are doing, couple with the fact we are 5-0. Plus, most teams have flaws. Asking to be ranked 25, we only have to look better than teams who lose to Old Dominion

    I'm shocked that people on this board think it will be close vs UMass just because Montgomery is finally making ECU a decent team again. We are out of UMass's league. 20+ point win, I guarantee it

    Everything is going perfectly for our season. Even Houston won. USF for sure is ranked next poll

    Is it weird it upsets me that they won't include UCF? Auburn lost 4 total games, including to UCF since UCFs last loss, and still is above them. I think I'd rather separate from the entitled 5 and form our own league. They really have hijacked the sport

    I'm looking forward to seeing 5-0 Cincinnati host Tulane. One of these days we will see Cincinnati play someone above a MAC level. But Tulane did just knock off Memphis, and their LSU transfer at QB is replacing their previously struggling QB Banks.
