  1. Has 11 four stars and a five star at Jackson State. Think his strategy would be recruit, recruit, recruit then out talent our entire G5 schedule...would take that over whatever this current strategy is
  2. Gators money line is -4500. Free money but you'd have to bet 10k just to win $200
  3. would explain why they were able to pass so easily against us. At least it gave Curry an opportunity. He made enough of an impact he NEEDS to be on the field moving forward
  4. What type of hire should we be looking for? 2 we should not be looking for are: No guys who used to be a hot commodity and just failed at a bigger school (Charlie Strong/Scott Frost) No assistant coach who has 0 experience outside 1 winning program (Jeff Scott/any current Clemson assistant) Categories: Coordinator who has been on fire lately? Willy Korn, Jim Knowles, Jeff Lebby, Phil Longo Good college coach, failed in NFL? Bill O'Brien, Matt Rhule Throw a lot of money at another G5 schools coach? Clay Helton, Charles Huff, Jeff Traylor Decent at a big school but not up to their expectations (Gus)? Jim McElwain, Dan Mullen Wild Cards? Deion Sanders, Urban Meyer
  5. What defenders have been out from injury besides Grier? Just curious
  6. I think ECU is better than Louisville right now tbh
  7. I’d rather push back the stadium a year to buy him out than watch another year of this ****
  8. Scott has coached in 20 FBS games and in 8 of them we went down 3 scores in the first half. I think Scott has no idea how to make a good game script to start off. We come out on our heels everytime on defense and are super cautious on offense. I think Scott tries to start games conservative to get us into things slowly so we don't fall behind, but it causes us to come out soft and the other team punches us in the mouth. Then once were down big with nothing to lose we start showing some glimmers of hope. Scared money don't make money
  9. FAU will be in our conference then so that may be rescheduled
  10. I was trying to be patient and listening to the covid excuse and the Strong's culture excuse. Bought into year 3 being different with a QB and a DC with great track records. But to be down 38-0 to BYU in the first half in year 3 shows this team is just as lost.
  11. Jeff Scott is 1-9 in his career vs teams with less overall talent on their rosters: https://247sports.com/Season/2022-Football/CollegeTeamTalentComposite/ Those 9 losses are by an average of over 16 points per game. It would be one thing if we we're winning 4-5 games each year, then it could be explained as he doesn't have the talent yet to take the next step but we're still beating the teams we're supposed to beat. But even with better talent than his opponents the team still looks lost out there most the time, so I don't think this is a players issue. I'm about ready to give up on Scott. On our schedule we still are higher than ECU, Temple, Tulane, and Tulsa. If we can't win all 4 of those + Howard we may need to cut back 3 mill on the stadium and use it to buy out Scott. A mediocre coach could go 6-6 with this roster in this conference.
  12. if you look at the 4 corners outside the stadium each one has a different model of a Bull statue with one being abstract, very detailed for some random rendering
  13. TQL Stadium - Populous Two seasons into its Major League Soccer existence, FC Cincinnati has taken another leap into the elite levels of the sport with the debut of TQL Stadium. With a capacity... Populous just made this for 250 million last year (26k people). So a 35k stadium with the shade like above for 300-350 probably is in the realm of possibility
  14. I was thinking these seem pretty detailed, if its that easy to whip up a stadium render like this that someone on a message board did it I wonder if we may get something similar soon? Or I wonder if one of the design firms had this as their proposal and this guy had access and just moved the location?
  15. Someone on a construction forum made a post about how our stadium would be better off at Fowler Fields because it would be more accessible to an entertainment district. I'll hold off on judging that until I see what our plan ends up being as I have hopes they are including bar/restaurants near the stadium in the plan and enough demand will build we could get something on 50th street after it opens. But in terms of the actual stadium here I would LOVE for ours to look something like this. Plenty of shade for the fans, open endzone to attach the football facility, unique look that will make it stand out, the shade should bounce back the sound to make it louder. Only comment would be it doesn't seem to include luxury suite seating but i'm sure that could be added.
  16. https://www.bizjournals.com/tampabay/news/2021/05/03/haven-communities-plans-student-housing-near-usf.html Construction on this just started directly across the street from the University mall where the Quality Inn used to be. 750 more students will now live within 2 miles of the stadium. Driving to University on Fowler has looked pretty sketchy in the past but a line up of projects like this should have it unrecognizable by 2030.
  17. think thats a general item as the board is going to approve the final negotiations with the design firm in 2-3 weeks (not message board rumor, they mentioned it specifically in the meeting today) assessing feasibility will still be done in the design phase for each individual idea even though the stadium is happening
  18. timeline wise they just said they are finalizing negotiations now and will come back in 2/3 weeks to get the boards approval on that price tag
  19. A convincing win of Howard, the UF game being more competitive than the BYU game, and then beating Louisville.
  20. At the beginning when he mentioned why he wanted to be hear I could have sworn I heard him say because the stadium details are being released
  21. livestream doesn't seem to be working and was recently taken down
  22. If we win 3 games and can't afford to fire Scott because that extension then the OCS might not be enough to save Kelly
  23. Looking at 247 Total Team Talent (ranks teams based on every rostered players recruiting rank), it seems like our team has more talent than most the teams we have been playing under Scott. The players could be upset that the coach has been acting like the cupboard is empty his entire time here and he needs more time to bring in better players, when we already have the talent to be making bowl games every year in this conference. Your leader constantly saying he needs more talent cant help the morale of the existing guys
  24. The one silver lining is we have new playcallers on both sides of the ball so looking lost immediately and tying things up as the game goes on could be explained away. But only if we smash Howard for 60 minutes and aren't losing to the Gators by 3 scores in the first half I heard while Scott recently got extended, his buyout in the case of being fired didn't change. Is that true?
  25. USF Livestream University of South Florida meeting starts at 9:30
