watched a youtube video of our game vs BYU today and honestly our oline was able to push them around pretty well. For the most part Timmy would have a few seconds before needing to throw or take off, hoping a veteran QB can take better advantage of that to start the game.
What I didn't remember was how many times this defense gets the offense on the ropes, then just lets them convert. 2 of their TD's we're 4th and goals, a few 3rd and longs we let the QB take off and convert, lots of 2nd and longs we let a 3-4 yard gain turn into a 15 yard gain. If Shoop just improves the tackling and contains the QB I think this defense could go from 120th to around the 70-80ish range which should be good enough for a bowl. Think we'll know 30 minutes into game 1.
