    after some googling there are enough recent incidents where this happens in Utah its hard to believe everyone is lying. Russell Westbrook and Ja Morant have both complained about Utah Jazz fans yelling racial slurs at them in the last couple years.     Another one is USF has never had a 3000 yard passer, Grothe and Flowers each threw for 2911 in a season. Gerry wasn't particularly close last year and I think we run the ball a lot so doubt that happens this year

    HOT TAKE TUESDAY: USF Football Will Never Have A 1,000-yard Receiver Never gonna happen. Does that end this year? Last year Weaver had 715 yards in 10 games, thats an 858 yard pace over a full season. Not to mention on a team ranked in the bottom 10 in QB rating.

    Even we ran for 175 yards on them last year and they let UAB run for 223 on 5.2 ypc in their bowl game. If just 1 of those receivers is out I think it turns to a coin flip. On their message board saw fans complaining because their DC said something along the lines of they aren't adjusting the scheme, they just need players to execute better. Music to my ears

    anyone listen and know if Brooks is going to have a role in this? Or what his role is with USF right now? Was on the committee looking for a new president and now showing up for this announcement in full USF gear, seems like more than just a guy supporting his daughters school.

    102.5 used to be pretty popular back before streaming. Don't listen to the radio anymore but have to imagine they are one of the bigger stations in the area still. Nice to see their broadcast map stretches from Pasco down to Naples and as far East as Orlando. Should help USF feel more like Tampa Bays team, if only marginally

    watched a youtube video of our game vs BYU today and honestly our oline was able to push them around pretty well. For the most part Timmy would have a few seconds before needing to throw or take off, hoping a veteran QB can take better advantage of that to start the game. What I didn't remember was how many times this defense gets the offense on the ropes, then just lets them convert. 2 of their TD's we're 4th and goals, a few 3rd and longs we let the QB take off and convert, lots of 2nd and longs we let a 3-4 yard gain turn into a 15 yard gain. If Shoop just improves the tackling and contains the QB I think this defense could go from 120th to around the 70-80ish range which should be good enough for a bowl. Think we'll know 30 minutes into game 1.

    I wonder if there is a breakeven point for ticket sales where it would be profitable to have a game at Ray Jay and pay rent compared to a 35-40k max capacity OCS that we own. I know Kelly mentioned before having the Miami 2027 game open the stadium and USF-Miami in Ray Jay probably sells 60k+ if we're both at least decent.

    Yeah the more I think about it BYU might be the less winnable than UF and Louisville. 10 wins each of the past 2 seasons, known for physical play which we struggle with, and returning the most production in college football. UF has a brand new coach, new QB, and lost a lot of talent to the draft/transfers. Louisville has a stud QB but is probably closer to the level of a good AAC team like SMU/Memphis than some P5 team that can push us around all day. If we're beating one of these teams its probably them.

    That 2 game stretch against Tulsa and Temple earlier this year looked like someone snuck Derrick Brooks in a USF uniform, think Grier has to be the most consistent playmaker on defense we've had the last 4 years. Glad to have him on board!
