  1. With frost gone ucf won’t go undefeated again. Plus they lost their best defensive player which is going to hurt them. Their coach has never been a head coach but is an offensive minded coach with Milton returning but everyone will have tape on him so look for everyone to adjust to him
  2. Kelly mentioned at the bulls rally that the tickets with the bobble head would be going out late this week or early next week
  3. At the bulls rally yesterday, Coach Strong did sound concerned about the defense mainly losing Auggie and just about the entire unit. He did say though that their is an opportunity for other guys to step up so hopefully they answer the challenge. I think the defense will be about the same as last year but what I want to see from the defense is the attitude they brought to the temple game applied to every game this year.

  5. We have never played Georgia tech and as far as Houston goes we are 2-3. We won the first 2 and Houston won the last 3. Both wins were under leavitt and both were double digit wins. http://winsipedia.com/games/south-florida/vs/houston http://www.winsipedia.com/south-florida/vs/georgia-tech
  6. Special gems cost us at least 11 points in that game. We really need a kicker that can kick it into the back of the endzone consistently

  8. Last tournament appearance was in 2002 so we are well overdue for a tourney appearance. We've had a couple of season where we finished around .500 but for the most part we haven't been above .500 much the last 15 years.
  9. This is a confidence building schedule and wasn't designed to get us into any tourneys outside maybe the NIT. I believe the staff thinks we have to build up they guys confidence and the easiest way to do so it to win games. Next season I would look for a more challenging schedule especially if Coach Gregory believes they can make the tourney.
  10. Former Usf basketball player Augustus Gil Christ is missing and hasn’t been seen or heard from in nearly 2 weeks. If anyone sees him please contact the Prince George county police department at 301-292-5399. I’ve been told he was last seen on the dc area. I also have tried to upload the poster but the file is too big and it won’t upload
  11. Apparently he has retired from baseball and is available. Ucf just offered him but he says Usf hasn’t contacted him neither has FSU. Uf has him going up to Gainesville but haven’t offered him anything yet. http://www.tampabay.com/sports/florida-gators/2018/07/06/former-dan-mullen-signee-cord-sandberg-adds-ucf-offer-ucla-on-radar/
  12. With the news of us getting preeminent status, hopefully Kelly can work some magic and get us in the big 10 or big 12. My preference would be big 10 s its more stable and would bring more money but i'll take any P5 conference over the AAC.
  13. http://www.tampabay.com/sports/usf-bulls/2018/06/25/do-tom-jurich-jeff-long-fit-criteria-usf-wants-in-a-new-athletic-director/ TAMPA — Although the search committee for USF's new athletic director wouldn't discuss specific candidates during its meeting Monday, the criteria they discussed shed some light on who might — and might not — be in the mix for a job expected to be filled by July 4. USF wants a proven leader, preferably with previous AD experience, committee chair William Sutton reiterated in a conference room at the school's downtown Center for Advanced Medical Learning and Simulation. That fits the description of two names regularly mentioned by insiders and those in the industry: former Louisville AD Tom Jurich and former Arkansas/Pitt AD Jeff Long. Jurich also checks three other boxes Sutton mentioned, which helps explain why he has gained the backing of major boosters and some current USF coaches. He has local ties (a condo in Clearwater), a track record in fundraising and facilities (he helped expand the Cardinals' football stadium twice), and he has industry connections that could help in the next wave of conference realignment. RELATED: Support growing for Tom Jurich to become Bulls' next AD Perhaps Jurich's biggest success in two decades at Louisville was getting the Cardinals to rise from Conference USA to, eventually, the ACC. No Power Five conferences seem poised to expand, but that could change in the next seven years, when the Big 12's media rights deal expires and teams could be shuffling again. "No one knows exactly how it's going to play out," Sutton said, "but we need somebody who's tuned into that and can get us in the conversation." Jurich would do that, and the fact that he gave current Bulls football coach Charlie Strong his first head coaching job is another obvious advantage. The question is whether possesses another trait mentioned Monday — the kind of "high integrity" and "above reproach" character Sutton said the Bulls are seeking. RELATED: The pros and cons of Tom Jurich as potential USF AD candidate Jurich's Louisville tenure included the hire of controversial football coach Bobby Petrino, two years after Long fired him at Arkansas for improperly hiring his mistress and then misleading the school about it. Jurich also oversaw a men's basketball program that saw its 2013 national title vacated because of a stripper scandal before being fired last fall in a backlash from the FBI's college basketball investigation. "No dirty laundry. That's important…" Sutton said. "To do anything to undermine (USF's status as a preeminent university) would be crazy. We're going to be in a position where we're going to do the right thing for the right reasons, and that's what we're going to do." After the 20-minute meeting, Sutton declined to say whether that benchmark disqualifies Jurich. Long's resume doesn't have such glaring flaws. He led a self-sustaining athletic department at Arkansas and spearheaded a $160 million renovation of Razorback Stadium. He, too, has industry connections; he was the first chairman of the College Football Playoff's selection committee. RELATED: USF considering former Arkansas athletic director Jeff Long Long, who was dismissed in November amid ongoing football mediocrity, is also rumored to be in contention to become the next AD at Kansas. Former Tennessee/Kansas State AD John Currie is another potential candidate who would give the Bulls the kind of high-profile hire they're believed to be seeking. RELATED: USF athletic director search nearing its end Although no candidates have interviewed on campus, a hire is expected soon. After revisiting the committee's criteria Monday, Sutton said he'll reevaluate the pool of candidates with the search firm before hopefully suggesting someone to president Judy Genshaft later this week. Times staff writer Joey Knight contributed to this report.
  14. http://www.tampabay.com/sports/usf-bulls/2018/06/25/usf-athletic-director-search-nearing-its-end/ the comment about not wanting anyone with baggage sounds like Miri has might be out but they never answered when asked about jurich
  15. Higgins withdrew his name from consideration but this article from daily stampede lists 4 possible candidates https://www.thedailystampede.com/2018/6/9/17444758/four-names-usf-athletic-director-search-nick-carparelli-elliott-charles-joie-chitwood-sean-frazier
  16. Just found this article. I mentions if the BIG 12 expands they should take both ucf and usf as a package to get into the state of florida. https://sportsday.dallasnews.com/college-sports/collegesports/2018/06/04/will-new-schools-added-big-12-next-five-years
  17. Genies with a 3 run bomb to extend the lead to 9-4
  18. Vilmar with a big single drives in 2. Bulls up 6-4
  19. If we can’t score with bases loaded and no outs we don’t deserve to win
  20. Either the 3rd baseman has to hold the ball or the 1st baseman has to go off the bag and keep the ball in front of him. Can’t let that happen
  21. Game is on ESPN in tampa for frontier. It’s part of the bases loaded programming
  22. Mississippi state with a walkoff 3 run home run to knock out the seminoles 3-2
  23. Hopefully the new ad makes fundraising a major priority and gets the ipf built with the ocs to immediately follow
  24. Outside of the 1st game nothing else has been announced but I assume the winners of the 1st game will play around noon with the losers to follow immediately after. They will probably schedule another elimination game after the 2nd game and have the winner of that game play the team who hasn’t lost on Sunday afternoon with a 2nd game to follow afterwards if necessary
