Loss drops us to a 9 seed in Starkville according to espn. Would play Virginia in first round and Mississippi State in round 2

When we had the lead we went back to conservative playcalling instead of finishing them when we had the chance. Outside the one play where flowers overthrew the wide open te we basically ran hb dives up the middle and didn’t open up the playbook until we lost the lead and were trailing. That’s how we played not to lose when we should have played like we were losing
If we can win out except the uconn game(s) and maybe the Ohio State game we could get to the 4 line. Probably would need to beat osu though to solidify a top 4 seed along with anyone not named uconn. I’d like to see us keep uconn within 30 next time we play them but losing to them won’t hurt our seeding
Ladies lead Memphis 39-38 with 5 minutes left in 3rd. Have struggled in Memphis for some unknown reason. game on espn3. Maria is having a monster game 23 points and 11 rebounds
The offense playcalling was always conservative when we had the lead. We always played not to lose which bit us against Houston and ucf. The red zone offense was a major problem and we basically just ran a hb dive when we were 3rd and 1 or even 4th and 1. Had we ran a play action or a rollout on 3rd or 4th down we wouldn't have been so predictable and defenses would have had a tougher time stopping us.
Their OOC schedule is home against South Carolina State, FAU, and Pitt. They play at UNC so they won't be undefeated next year. Their home games are against Cincy, Navy, SMU, and Temple. their road games are at UCONN, ECU, Memphis, and us.
The defense must play better than last year if we are to have any shot of beating them. We can't let them shoot over 50% like last year. The bench is deeper this year which should help but we have to rotate much better than we did against OU. Offensively we can not turn the ball over and must crash the boards and limit their transition offense. Everyone will need to step up their game to help relieve pressure they will put on Laksa. If we can do these things we can pull out the upset or at the very least keep them within 10
