The Bucs and Fins play each other in the regular season and most of the same OOC teams. They usually seem to only play in preseason. Thought it kinda strange how many teams they both play.

The Bucs have been so bad for years they've just about driven me completely back to the team of my youth, Miami.

They don't play each other in the regular season, only the pre-season.

Each NFL team plays:

Divisional opponents twice  - 6 games

A division within your conference - 4 games (Bucs v. NFC East; Dolphins v. AFC South)

A division in the opposite confecence - 4 games (Bucs v. AFC South; Dolphins v. NFC East)

Games with conference teams with same standing within their division - 2 games

It's a rotating thing, it's just a coincidence that the Bucs and Dolphins opponents line up

With the exception of 2 games, every team knows who they're going to play from now until they change the scheduling format

Also, in the rotating thing, teams rotate through 3 divisions within their conference and 4 from the opposite conference, so it will be a while before this happens again.

If you're Miami, you want those those early September games to be at home, preferably against AFC East opponents. That heat is an advantage.

It's always annoyed me that we have to play UConn in the snow but they don't have to play in the heat

This year the Team asked to start out on the road, they want to make sure the new stadium is ready, and want to make any changes needed after the preseason games.

i would think Miami would want  games in December at home as opposed to  cold northwest where the other teams have an advantage
